Stinger GT2 2022 infotainment update file

The only time I had FCW weirdness was driving out of my neighborhood. Only happened once. It's a typical subdivision road, single lane both directions, 25 mph. Was driving up one direction with a car on the other side coming toward me (in their lane) and suddenly the car was alerting me about an imminent front collision, which wasn't anywhere close to happening. Thankfully it didn't slam on the brakes but it certainly concerned me.

I wonder if there is a way to code it to be off by default? I just got one of those ANCEL DS160's that are bi-directional. I'll check to see if it has anything like that.

Well that's what I get for saying something. Was driving home yesterday on the exact same road but in a different direction (I take this road almost every time I leave or return to my neighborhood) and sure enough, the damn FCW started alerting me again, this time with no oncoming traffic. I'm guessing it was losing its mind over the parked vehicles on the side of the road. Either way it doesn't leave me with the warm and fuzzies.

Just posting that the April 2025 update installed on my 2022 GT2 with no issues.

AA is now full screen and everything looks to have been saved.

I will note that radio no longer uses the Tube design, but other than that.... looks normal to me.

Oh, whatever one you gave me. I scanned the QR code after it installed (took FOREVER) and iot brought me to a page talking about April 2025 update.

So, whatever update you provided, installed without issue.

That was the 2024-08 update, although ironically, the files themselves are from march of 2025.. I don't recall if that's when it was finally released or when I downloaded them. Too had to keep track of it all.

The My23 Stinger has road sign recognition so in addition to the SatNav speed notifications, passing a temporary speed sign or indeed any speed sign changes the display to the new speed limit.
My experience here in the states (specifically I-5 throughout Oregon and Washington) is that there are secondary signs for truck traffic which the recognition doesn't recognize for trucks only.

So when I had road sign recognition turned on, there are a few places where there's a sign indicating that trucks only need to take a hill/curves at 50mph, not cars; they can stay at 65mph. The Stinger latches onto that and my speed drops from 65mph to 50 (and it doesn't update the speed signs--at least in my 2022) for no good reason--especially since trucks are supposed to be restricted to the right lane while other traffics takes the other lanes.

So I turned it off. Australia might have better, more uniform roadway warning signs which makes allows for fewer screw-ups with the internal speed sensing. Plus, I'm not interested in the car following a given speed sign warning sign--especially an advisory curve sign. I just want to know what the prevailing speed limit is in case there is no signage and it's not the usual 25mph city/residential & 50mph rural.

^^Did it nail the brakes on you?
Thankfully no it didn't. But I do fear one of these days it just might. And if I'm really unlucky, when someone is right behind me wondering why the eff did I slam on the brakes for no reason and will most likely think I purposely brake checked them.

The road sign recognition only works on the standard white road sign with red circle. It does not recognise the advisory yellow sign nor do trucks have different speed limits sign so it is not a problem.

And 40kmh would be ridiculous on that type of road as 40kmh is limited to school zones, construction zones and some permanent 40kmh zones in city and suburbs
