Anyone else experience this or know what it is? There is a squeak every time I shut off the car, audible from outside the car. Not sure if it's a belt or something else, but it's every time.

Or the hydraulic deconfibulator. It's probably the turbos.
Do you have the e-brake or traditional parking brake?Anyone else experience this or know what it is? There is a squeak every time I shut off the car audible from outside the car. Not sure if it's a belt on sosomething else, but it's every time.
If you have the Brake Hold on, the sound you're hearing is probably the actuator for the parking brake (which is automatically set when you have Brake Hold on and turn the car off).
It's a kind of quick acreeching sound, and it comes from the back of the car. My two Optimas have both had it, and I found out it's perfectly normal.
Try making sure Brake Hold is off, then stop the car and turn it off ... you should not hear the sound.
It's probably the turbos.
When I first heard it, that was just about the worst thing possible I had considered (and given myself heartburn), lol.It is the throttle body. Mine is squeaky as hell. With the engine on and hood open, can you quickly pump the gas pedal and create the sound? Mine sounds like a squeaky bed lol
When you turn the engine off, the throttle body closes after everything else stopped so it's a bit louder.
Do you have the e-brake or traditional parking brake?
My last one had this on super light throttle movement when parked. This one does not. Might be tough to reproduce for a dealer.
Does it sound like this (pardon the wind noise)?
I just tested it out, and it *IS* the f*cking throttle body, lol.Im guessing it just needs to be lubricated?
