Square Setup for GT

So, still wondering if the OEM 19” front wheels would work on the back?

Like what I've said above running 255's all around with bolt pattern 5X114.3 with 19X8.5 +30 Offset All Around. Wheels is ESR RF2! Lighter than the OEM wheels.

Here look at it:D lowered on H&R Springs

your running 255/30/19 all around?

Are those the H&R RWD springs?

did you have to roll your fenders at all? Any rubbing?

Try to put the front on the back and see. If it's not hitting something your good then!

It's 255/35/19 All Around and yes H&R RWD Springs and NO fender roll here or rubbing.

how’s the handling vs staggered? I’ve mostly run square on most my RWD cars and loved it. My square setups were on 50/50 cars, Stingers are close at 51.9 F / 48.1 R.

What’s the bore on those ESR wheels?

sorry for the 1000 questions. There is finally a wheel setup on here that’s sparked my interest :)

Are you running spacers?

swear that’s my last question... lol

It feels better!!!

The bore size 67.1 the most universal size!!!

No spacers here! Think it's not safe in the long run. I'm running a +30 Offset cause I want a flush look.

Done and done. Buying these in Graphite 19x8.5 +e30

Thanks again!

Tire update on winter set up for 2019 GTS. Ordered square set-up 225/40/19 LM-32 Blizzaks and their recommended 8.5" wheels 35 offset. When received the 225 had heavy stretch on the 8.5" rims, drove for about 200 miles and hated them. Handling was poor and felt very unsettled during cornering due to excessive stretch. Removed tires and replaced with 245/35/19 Michelin AS 3+ square and handling is rock solid, improved even over stock and front end tuck's into corner better with no push (understeer). After mounting the 245/35/19 did some measuring and realized could have went with 255/35/19 square. When these wear out it will be my next tire. Lesson was learn by this old dog, so if anybody needs the Lm-32 they are available, just recommend they do not go on 8.5" wheels. 8" is fine as that is stock front size and they only have a little stretch stock.

Ok. Was looking at this yesterday. Why are the front tire not only taller but not as wide as the back. Making the front tire taller then the back. I have all wheel drive GT 3.3, if i go square set up will it hurt the drive train of this car. Addionly if square set up u ca do proper rotation. Just strange . I have seen narrow tire up front but not narrow and taller.

no, you are good as long as both front tires are matching size and condition meaning depth of tread remaining

Taller in front? Are you sure? I can't see it at all. I think that the OD is identical; the rear is just half an inch wider is all.

2020 GT 3.3 AWD
Front tires 225/40/19
Rear tires 255/35/19
So slightly taller in front. Originally thought it was 30 in back but see it is not. Will be looking for two front OEM wheels when time to replace so i can do rotations.

Now I'm getting educated! What does that "40" and "35" refer to? I never even thought about it before; it's just a number to match if you want the SAME tire as OEM.

(while we're at it: what does the 225 and 255 refer to? I happen to know what the "19" is; one out of three, not bad  )

You have almost 11k posts on a car forum and can't read tire sizes?
I read the numbers for matching. I've never bothered to learn what they actually refer to. Hah. So, what does "255" mean? What does "35" mean? To me, they are just numbers.

(By the way, you're fairly new, or by post count less frequent, here, so you don't know my story; tl;dr: this is my first brand new car - and so far only brand new car. I've only driven vans and other "family" vehicles my entire adult life. Tires, like the rest of the car, are tools on vehicles like that; "I am not a car guy" is an adopted self description. But, I am a Kia Stinger Guy. )
