Screenshot_20180813-105059_eBay.webp Looking to purchase a rear spoiler. Seen a few on ebay. I want carbon fiber one has anyone bought from ebay and had any luck. Reviews seem to be mixed, long shipping times and imperfect fit.

Caveat emptor. Right there, you've said enough to make me go away. And besides, I like the Stinger's "spoiler". It was designed with it to go fast and stay stable. I can testify that it works as designed.

I bought an M&S G type spoiler on Ebay , no issues

Got one from Philip auto factory on eBay. But it wasn’t carbon fiber. But fitment was perfect!

:laugh::rofl: The Stinger's "spoiler" doesn't do anything.

It is part of the overall aerodynamics. How do you know that it doesn't "do" anything? Do you have the windtunnel specs?

......................."every true sports car needs a rear spoiler " ....................finishes the rear end off properly !

No, I have eyeballs though. The thing you call a spoiler on the Stinger's lid isn't functional.

*Edit...actually the Stinger doesn't even have a Spoiler.

I completely disagree , its the perfect place to put a rear spoiler !! Bawaaaaa

Of course it is! Go well over a hundred miles per hour and every curve in the body is "functional", either pro, con or neutral. Neutral is always good. Con is always bad. And pro is always best. If the "spoiler" only contributes a little bit to the stability at speed, it is still doing something either neutral or a bit good. If you change the diffuser there will be one of the same three possible things happening. If you add a bit more width and uptilt to the spoiler, the same three things are on the table.

I treat spoilers as cosmetic, keeping within speed limits does not need down force on the rear wheels. And, the Stinger looks pretty good as is.

Does anyone have experience with the carbon fiber one on ebay? Primarily for looks.

Nope, all I really know about them is basically what you've already said.

I purchased M&S - S Type, smash repairer painted & fitted it then dealer applied paint protection to match the rest of the car, no problems.
This type of spoiler is more of a visual enhancement to the vehicle, I would deem it would not provide any further downforce what so ever...this type of add-on is all about personal choice...ie I wanted it, liked this style & had it fitted for no other reason was it was for me & my taste, just like those who make the decision not to fit one.
In the end it’s entirely up to you.
