So... Who's eaten food in their stinger?

@rocket23 has this talent for dredging up old threads, alright. I like it.

I avoid food that crumbles or spills. There is a tall covered cup of water in my car at all times. But count on it, if I eat anything that can drop something, it will, and it will ALWAYS fall directly into the unreachable slot between the seat and center console. So I avoid crumbly food. On road trips, what am I supposed to do, stop every time I want to nibble on something? Obviously not. The "Road Wingos" do not allow for frequent stops for food or anything else (bladders must wait as well). So onboard food snacks are a must. But I make them solid and crumble free, like beef strips or cheese and crackers (pop the whole cracker in, do not bite). Etc. Nobody else eats in my car. Yeah, right. That's what I SAY. But if someone is traveling with me, they will eat. If they are eating messy foods they will get told to not do it; but if they insist then I expect them to clean up. *sigh* It is a fallen world ...

Do I eat in my Stinger? Hell yeah - As much as I love it, it's still just a car not, a museum full of rare antiquities.

like a mummified mcdonalds french fry....that is a must.

With the amount of electronics in cars these days, I hesitate to even drink water....from a sealed sippy through a straw....whilst parked...in the garage...in the basement...on the moon!:p

I think you meant "with", not without. :cautious::whistle:

Never, I don’t care how hungry you are.

Have not eaten inside the Stinger, but driven it extremely careful through a Maccas Drive-Thru, with all 360 degree cameras working overtime, watching the side curb as to not scratching up my wheels and tyres , hence watching from above , front camera measuring the distance between the car in front, rear camera watching the number plate of the car behind..haha, and folding in the exterior side mirrors , once out i slowly drive over a couple of speed bumps, park the Stinger in the largest open space away from other cars, open the hatch, place the food in the hatch floor and eat it standing close by while admiring my ride, so i guess i have not eaten food inside the car itself, just shows how useful the rear hatch can be, no mess is made on the hatch floor , and i clean my hands , usually i have hand sanitizer with me, cause you don't want any oily marks on what you touch next.

Have not noticed any smell left in the car, as the burger is in the bag and straight in my hands as i eat it outside, but i guess it can happen, and also the short time it takes to drive to the car park, the bag is folded and sort of sealed, so no smell gets out and stays inside, but i do not intend to eat anything while in the driver's seat, even while parked.

What ever happened to those trays that clipped onto your window like the old days?

Lucky i guess those trays are not still being used, or have not been for sometime now, we would be tempted even more to eat in the car, lucky also we all are of similar age range, if we are afraid to eat in our Stinger, imagine if we were much younger and wanted to use the back seat for , lets say exercise..lol, you would not be able to enjoy the moment because your worried about damaging the rear leather seats, and where you feet or shoes are up against the interior door trim...

Multiple times already in, what, 10 days of ownership? In fact I took a friend for a drive in the mountains this weekend and she even asked if it was OK to drink the coffee we just ordered from a drive-thru in the car. I laughed, I didn't realize that was a thing for some people but apparently it is for another one of her friends. Not sure why I would have ordered it for her if I wasn't going to allow her to drink it!

Eating in THE STINGER?? ARE YOU CRAZY??? I don't even transport food in the cabin! If it smells, it rides in the trunk!

Well considering the trunk is actually a part of the cabin you might want to reconsider your smell isolation strategy.

I leave the cover on, it traps the smell pretty well considering. I have yet to get into my car the next day and smelled pizza, or french fries.

I'm half kidding anyway, I'll eat in my car eventually but I'm trying to hold off as long as I can.
