Just got a new secondary dp (aka mid pipe) last night. True they make virtually no power gains but i hear all the cool kids have them.
I had SSRs previously which had poor fit hitting the trans, hanging low and leaked due to bad flange angle. With an ark cat back i didn't experience much if any rasp or rattle but they did increase sound and expanded the drone rpm range.
This silenced mid keeps the sound nearly the same as stock catted mid. If anything it has less volume and less drone than stock mid.
Tork will be selling these soon with or without the silencer.
Another bonus of the silencer it looks like a cat.

So they make no power? What's the point?

No significant peak power increase on TUNED cars, but faster turbo spooling and an increase in low end torque, so a perceptible increase in acceleration.
Increase in HP on UNTUNED cars of about 10-20 HP, allegedly.

One other manufacturer had big claims for the mids which haven't proven out. That made them popular for the percieved bang for the buck. Some do it for more sound instead of doing a cat back.
In first gear low rpm you do get 10-15 more tq in a very small rpm window.
I've done before after, before after and they don't have any measurable time gain but the car seems more consistetly fast with them. I drag race so every little bit helps.

Any ideas of performance impact silenced vs. non-silenced?

They don't appear to deliver any additional peak power. But that doesn't mean that they don't deliver benefits in the low to mid-range.
Well they make power then...doesn't matter if the gains are peak or not if it's making +20hp +15tq at 3500rpm a power gain is a power gain.

Should be no difference. Just a straight through muffler.
Just did another long drive and these do take the sound down a notch and remove all drone for me. I can see people that have no primaries, muffler delete or the more agressive catbacks that are tired of drone going with these.

Ok, got a video/audio of the new setup.

#1 Ark Grip with flowmaster DBX - slight drone 1500-2000 RPM, flowmaster mufflers reduced the sound and drone by 20%.

#2 Ark Grip with flowmaster DBX with SSR secondary Mid - Slight drone 1500-2500, sound increased by 20%

#3 Ark Grip with flowmaster DBX with Tork Silenced mid - no drone and sound reduced by 15% over OEM secondary CAT.

Much less metallic rasp! Nice!

So what's with not having the hangers about halfway down? SSR, Ark, and the OEM mid-pipes have them; why not these? Any worry about sagging or loose pipes?

It's not finished yet. He built it while i was at the shop and will add the tabs later.

Ah, ok. I missed that part and thought these were production. Very fresh.

They will be in production any day now. He was waiting for material for the tabs. This was the first silenced. But he makes every thing in house by hand so this is essentially production.

Are you an authorized vendor for Tork parts?

...no, really. Why are you advertising these instead of someone from Tork? That's kind of weird.

Sound is really nice

@Tonkabob What's your full exhaust setup now then? I'm not sure where those Flowmaster DBX's fit into your overall build...

I've been considering buying a second set of OEM Midpipes and having a muffler shop replace the cat with a small straight pipe. Do you think it'd perform similarly?
Anyone want to sell me their OEM Midpipes? I'm in Tucson, AZ

I have the tork secondary dp, and a Ark Grip exhaust where I swapped out the mufflers for the flowmaster DBX to quiet it down.
