I know they make a sequential turn signal for the bottom rear reflectors but anybody ever thought about or do they make something for the reflector strip? Seems like that would be a good use of the strip. Something that comes on with the turn signals would be cool I think.

That would turn Stinger's ugly mole into a really useful safety feature. That's brilliant; make it so!

I thought somebody woulda thought of that already? Seems like the strip would be perfectly suited for that.

Might be legalities involving flashing lights on the side. Amber on the front sides is known and accepted, flashing red or amber on the rear sides could be confused for an emergency vehicle.

This is what i want to do

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
So a reflector isn't a safety feature? ;)
I don't find the reflector to look horrible or anything but imo, it would serve a better purpose as some sort of sequential turn signal then just a big ol strip sitting there.

I never thought the strip on the tail is a mole. Its a beauty mark my peeps.

If anyone is still checking this thread I was wondering if there were any lighting options for the strip? Not even anything that flashes just something to make it light up like the rest of the taillight assembly?

In theory it would be the same as making your own sequential/LED rear reflectors, where you cut/saw off the back half of the reflectors, place LED module, seal it, and install (there's quite a number of Youtube videos on this for other cars).

Do note, I would also imagine that you would need to get a precise cut because you want to keep the push pins on the back for installation to the body.

Hmmm... cutting into any part of my new car gives me the willies

Tell me about it. I didn't cut anything but I remember the feeling of taking apart my dash and center console to do the nav and bigger touch screen. Even the wife was like " you sure you wanna be messing with a new car like that"? Lucky for me, it went smoother than expected.

If your truly interested in doing this mod. I have a set of oem side reflectors, you can have, just cover S&H, and when you make them good enough to sell, I get a pair for free. :)

I would take free car parts any day :)

I'm down to try this.. I've always wondered about adding a static Led strip to the reflectors. They already have that small square of a light! But my OCD kicks in and want the light pattern to match the taillight DRLs on the '22 models. That can be really challenging

This is an old thread but I ended up swapping out my tail lights for the 2022+ style and went with the sequential turn signals.

Doesn't solve my original question about the side reflector strips but it's the next best thing.

I'm entertaining trying to put a red led strip in the middle section of the original style lamps.
