I've read many forum posts and comments about the lack of quality Kia applied to the Stinger. Issues range from the exterior to the interior and parts in between. IMHO, it's hard for a car brand to meet the quality levels of what's been designed and computer simulated. But that's no excuse and I anticipate as the Stinger matures, an amount of quality improvements and fine tuning will be applied.
If the Kia survey I completed over the weekend about my Stinger is any indication of the desire to improve, I look forward to seeing what happens next.
Kia is not alone. Even cars that've been around for decades get dinged on quality. The MotorTrend article, What the Mid-Engine Corvette Must Learn from the C7 Corvette Stingray, specifically calls out issues I've read about on StingerForum. Issues I've never perceived for a highly visible and instantly recognizable car like the Corvette. It's a good read just for perspective.
Is the Stinger perfect? Nope. However, its proximity to perfect is good and it should get progressively closer with each new model year.
