Hi all. I recently bought a ceramic silver 2023 Stinger GT2 gran tourer. It is my first "new" car, as I come from the older Subaru, AMC and Mopar worlds. I live in Indianapolis and have only spotted a handful of Stingers on the road. Just here to get and give information and knowlege.

Welcome aboard! And thank you for signing up. Congratulations on your new Stinger! How are you liking it compared to other cars you've owned in the past? I'm glad you found us. :)

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
Definitely time for some floor mats. Interesting interior with the alcantera. Major change from the hard plastics on many subaru models.

So far, I like it...a lot. It is a large departure from what I am used to. The "suede" or alcantara is much thicker/more substantial feeling than the material in the STi seats that I have had. Time will tell if they hold up well - for now, I love the material. Having a car that confuses people is a blast. Very few people seem to know what it is (can't wait to debadge it).

Debadge, if anything, just so some bored adolescent doesn't try to jam a thumbdrive in your push button start.

Welcome! It's not exactly the same as Subaru - some things better, some worse, but my '19 GT1 AWD is a pretty decent replacement for my '05 Legacy GT Wagon.. Given that Subaru isn't making anything close to it anymore..

Sorry, I tend to read more than post on forums, but here is my first turbo car (and first WRX of several) I owned. My father and I have sold it back and forth to each other for 13 years now. It started my love for turbo AWD platforms.

Those Legacy GT model years were mt straight up dream cars back then. Basically a 'grown up' WRX. Really wished the Legacy continued to follow that formula. Sometimes I think the Stinger is actually a good replacement for those who wanted the more sporty Legacies from back then. We get available AWD, a liftback (as opposed to wagon), and some decent luxury.

@gmoney here in Indy too. Well Fishers.

the SVX was the best of the 4 Subarus i had ... they got progressively worse and less reliable through the years. i would never buy one again.

I used to work in Carmel/Fishers area but now work near West and live out East. Ever go to cruise-ins or car shows?

Love the SVX - I have an 04 WRX wagon sitting in my driveway currently, but I think it will be my last subi.

my wife had an '02 WRX, and it was probably the 2nd best Subaru we had (that one was built in Japan). the LGT was built in Indiana, and was kind of a piece of shit. LOL

Went to Lowes weekend car show when I lived in Avon.

For quite a number of years Subarus occupied the second stall in our garage (at one point we were both driving one). That's been our experience as well. Our last Subaru was an Impreza with a CVT, and the control module on the CVT died just before the warranty expired (had to be towed). Other little things needed addressing on that car. While a great drivetrain for the snow, they're otherwise nothing special anymore. Back when turbo cars were less common, it meant something. Now the few performance minded trims are even a bit slow by today's standards. We literally don't even think about Subarus anymore if discussing a new car.
