Randomly Losing Turbo PSI

Hi everyone. Im turning to forums since the dealership has not been any help. I have a 2022 Stinger GT2 AWD with the scorpion package and am having some issues with the turbos. The car has 4500 miles on it and is 100% stock. About once or twice a week when driving, i will randomly lose all of the power to my turbos. I can put the petal to the floor and barley have any power, and the gauges display the turbos are getting 0psi. Turning the car off and back on fixes this. The car has been to the dealer 3 times for this issue and the first 2 times they couldn't find any issues. I brought it back a 3rd time while it was actively having the problem. They said it was leaking boost due to one of the turbos not being secured properly from factory. They repaired it and gave me back the car. Ive had it for 4 days since then and once again just had the same issue occur after about 10 minutes on the road. Is there anyone out there having this issue or that has any idea why its happening?

Can you elaborate on the conditions surround the event?
Does this happen only in first gear? from a near stop? or does it occur when on the highway at speed?

Road condition - Is it wet? Dry? snow covered?

Turbo not secured properly - Like the boost pipe was loose and leaking?

Conditions vary when it happens. It doesnt seem to relate to road conditions or temperature. It seems to happen without warning too. Its happened at red lights and also going highway speeds. It seems to be completely random. And yes the dealership said the boost pipe was loose.

I have been having the same issue, and I have aftermarket downpipes and exhaust that has the same problem. My remote start also has not worked since 900 miles. At this time the dealer has told me the reason my car is doing this is because there is not enough "back pressure" from the aftermarket down pipes. I had the same setup on my 21 stinger and no issues. I put a post up on my entry post, and it has what they have provided as "diagnosis reports." Currently trying to figure out a solution as well.

At this point you have been to the dealer enough times that they owe you a lemon buy-back, or maybe as part of that you give them one final chance to fix it before the buy back, but at this point you need to send them a return-receipt letter, address to the manager of the dealership, include the documentation of the prior visits, state how many times/opportunities they've had to fix it, quote your state's lemon law, and ask them how they intend to proceed, requesting a reply within 10 business days. You've been communicating enough times now without a fix that you NEED to move to paper documentation and not call them on the phone. This will be a slam-dunk in court if you have it on paper.

That's what I'm saying, you don't call them at this point, you use written correspondence. Written correspondence can be tracked and used as evidence. Phone call, they can just claim you never called unless you subpoena phone company records and even then it doesn't say what was talked about.

That guy has a bunch of mods though, so not the same situation as the OP.

@HungryChucken I have the same car as you with about the same mileage and am having the exact same issue. Throws a P0234 code - overboost. I am taking the car to the dealership today. Any updates on your issue?

Yes, they basically told me I either needed to take my car back to stock or have a tune like a jb4 that can adjust boost/fuel/air. I ordered all the other bolt on's and should have them this week. Once it all is installed, I will have to do some live logs for burger to go in and adjust it.

Sounds like an overboost issue, because your car is stock, most likely caused by something wrong in the ECU. If you want to give the dealer a chance, ask them to order you a new ECU that is programed to your VIN, slap that in and see what happens. you can also ask if any of the dealer techs have a stinger and are on this forum, so they can reference the numerous posts about overboost here and how to solve it.

Alternatively, you could always get an ECU Tune from Lozic/Lap3 and that should solve your issue lol

Of course they find no issues. I said if the issue continues they need to do an ECU swap - which I suspect is the issue.
