Randomly Losing Turbo PSI

That's why i am apprehensive of swapping the exauhst and shit back to factory. I dont have to time to take it to the dealer every other week. MY 21 did not have any issues with the same parts on it, so I am not sure.

I talked to the Service Advisor and he said that Kia is aware of this issue but does not have a fix yet. The dealership is the biggest where I live and they have a superb reputation...so I wait and deal with the occasional nuisance of having to turn the car on and off to get my boost back.

Off...then on

I have the same problem - 2022 3.3 GT2 AWD, 3,500 miles.

It has happened to me twice, both times shortly after cold engine startup, maybe the engine was not fully warmed up at the time. Ambient temp in the teens F. I was accelerating briskly each time, maybe 2/3 throttle.

Because of the problem, I'm always reluctant to put my foot into it thinking/fearing I may lose my boost. Off-boost it is a dog and really scared me the first time it happened as I had no idea what happened.

I hope that Kia finds and releases a fix for this soon.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
My only mods are an injen intake and last week I got the SS mbrp catback. Went thru the sparkplug and coil BS a few months back and now this smfh.

The boost problems didn't start til the exhaust was installed. At first it would just randomly cut power if I was screaming in 3rd gear and it was below 40⁰ outside. Then Sunday it cut and threw the CEL. And it has stayed on. Turning the car off and on doesn't do anything for me. I'm stuck in a sadder version of comfort mode. 21 gt2 awd.

I ran into this issue a couple of times before. I have 12700 miles on my car (bought it last year May). Like SRV experienced, the loss of boost only happened to my car when the oil wasn't up to the optimal temperature. I always drive in my custom mode (Sport powertrain and steering with comfort suspension) with the oil temp, boost, and torque gauges on. Once the temp is around 170~180F I haven't had any issues with building boost. I like to think the car has a failsafe where if the oil is too cold and the boost demand is too high, the turbos will be disengaged. Resulting in a weird limp mode with no CEL. Turning the car off then on reverts things back to normal.

I hope my personal experience helps.

Interesting data point, thanks for sharing it.
