RaceChip unleashes true potential of the Kia Stinger GT (and future GTR)

Currently, we ship directly from Germany. We use the express shipping of UPS, so delivery usually takes 3-5 business days. You do not have to bear any costs for shipping or customs duties.
Do you also ship to S.Korea?

A little heads-up:
Friday and Monday (March 30 to April 2) will be public holidays in Germany. There will be no customer support and no order processing during those days.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
Hey

Is there any information on performance and wheter the chip is usable on 2.0L 255hp Stinger?

A version for the 2.0 is in the works. There should be a thread in the tuner section.

A German customer sent us his dyno results.

Kia Stinger with cat-back exhaust installed (without RaceChip):

386 PS = 381 HP

Kia Stinger with cat-back exhaust installed AND RaceChip GTS Black in Race mode:

450 PS = 444 HP

381 HP --> 444 HP means additional 63 HP

Wow even better than the 52HP listed on your website!:thumbup: Would this simply be because of the better flowing exhaust? So better breathing, intake & exhaust, could potentially get even bigger gains over both those numbers by adding a RC?

Also just to confirm that 444 is WHP, correct? So in theory this should be over 500HP BHP?!?o_O:cool:Wow is an understatement, and great job RC!

Ditto that!

Whoa...

They haven't updated their website but they're getting up to 57 horsepower more - not only 52. But anyway - now we're seeing 63! Hey @RaceChip - are you going to update from 52 to 57 to 63 in the verbiage?
I'm too lazy to go look at their website, but this is with a catback exhaust upgrade, not chip alone. I'd think they'd want to stick with chip alone.

We are talking about HP, not WHP.
The Kia Stinger usually has around 365 HP in stock condition. Tuning it to 500 HP would be insane. 444 HP is already crazy.

I think with the JTI intercooler, CAI and turbo back exhaust it’ll easily be over 500HP. I’m wondering now if too much for driveline

How does the Racechip and app work? I.e. when I hop in car and phone syncs and I choose a setting, every time I turn off car, turn off phone or phone out of range, will it revert back to stock? Will I then have to choose a setting again? Can I have a different setting automatically applied depending on which drive mode car in, e.g. eco, normal, sport or custom? Sorry if this has already been covered in a thread.

No. Our advertised numbers are the numbers that should be reached with a normal Kia Stinger in stock condition. This means if your car has more or less power from stock, you might get more or less power than advertised. We have following disclaimer on our website:
The indicated performance gains and fuel efficiency gains are target values. Deviations upwards and downwards are possible. These may, for example, be caused by standard factory model variations, the quality of the fuel used, the maintenance and ageing condition of the vehicle or the driving habits.

Kia claims 365 HP in the Stinger.
with cat-back 381 HP --> +16 HP
with RaceChip 444 HP --> +63 HP
Total gain with cat-back exhaust and RaceChip: +79 HP

So, the cat-back exhaust upgrade was not included in the +63 HP. However, the RaceChip upgrade might benefit from the exhaust, too. Meaning 1+1=3
Furthermore, we don't know how much HP this specific Stinger really had in stock condition.

No, the chip will always stay in the last mode you selected. It will also work without the app.

No, the chip works independently. You can combine the settings as you like.

I asked earlier, and another member posted his opinion:

From what I've read on the internals they're all forged. Which should mean a pretty hardy power output on the stock bottom end. Honestly, your real issue will be heat output. I'm pretty confident 500-525HP could be done reliably if you upgrade the intercooler and radiator. .....
Most of what I'm saying is really all an educated guess. As the old saying goes, you pay to play.

.. so there is hope!

I'm not looking to go crazy, but 450whp is a reasonable target number in my mind. I've regularly driven a RWD car ('77 Camaro) with around that, which has quite poor handling, brakes, and of course, no electronics. You just have to be aware of how easily things can go sideways and drive appropriately. I also ride sportbikes - one had >150whp (yes wheel) and weighed about 450lbs. It would easily lift the front wheel with just a snap of the throttle in 1st, 2nd and 3rd.

Guess I'm in the "want more than I can use in most circumstances" camp but as I posted elsewhere, I do intend to take mine to the strip and track..
