3.3TT Quicksilver Exhaust Systems

yes, but note that the inner diameter of the stock exhaust finishers is smaller than the pipes coming out of the QS exhaust. I'm starting to wonder if those metal plates on the stock exhaust pipes are more than just cosmetic.
I think welding a flat plate behind the stock tips (like the stock exhaust) would help.

Or fill the gap with header wrap like some folks are doing on the MBRP thread.

Thank you guys. I always like to get options to decide which one is the better.

To whom concern:
May I ask for an update about QS exhaust SS production, shipment, etc?
I got the pre order number 1954, by june the 4th.
Thanks in advance

For those interested in an update of the exhaust:

"Hi Jose,

This system is still in development phase and customer deliveries are likely to be another 28 days minimum.

Best regards,

Ollie"

Thanks for checking.Good to know, at least. Hope the extra time brings good fitment and sound. Pre-orders are always a bit risky so hope nobody's in a big rush.

Special thanks to Brian Bell who has helped me get the fitment issue corrected. He personally had some braces crafted and sent to me so I could easily install the aftermarket tips. The drone is 95% better and they look awesome! I’ll add some pics shorty after it’s cleaned up. He’s a man of his word and I respect him big time.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
Thanks for the kind words Justin. Here is some great news, the jigs are ready for the AWD cat pipes, and Quicksilver has a GTS in house for the Supersport catback development. After multiple issues with Covid and shutdowns and cancellations, Ollie and his gang have secured a vehicle to resume the Supersport goal. When all is said and done, and everyone knows the commitment and extreme lengths that Quicksilver went through to produce this at this time in the world, you will be grateful that we hung in there and gave them time. I for one am shocked at what had to happen to secure a car for the amount of time needed for this. I am humbled by their effort to help us get exactly what we desire for this car and the unique sound we want.

7-10 days for development and perfecting the sound that they are famous for, then most likely the first batch will start production

Thanks so much for the updates, really appreciate it! Can't wait to hear what this sounds like!

We should be hearing, soon, that production has started?

Secondaries are still boxed waiting for this SS exhaust to arrive.

Ollie sent me some teaser video clips. It sounds amazing. i actually asked him for it to be a little bit louder! I told him in the USA we love the louder cold starts, deeper growl down low. Are we in agreement? If not I can have him keep it as is. But they are bringing it back in to finalize the sound, actually, PERFECT, the tone. They are looking to keep the frequency 80-100 hz, and are experimenting with double Helmholtz with an additional pair in the center section to make it happen. I will try to post the clips he sent. On takeoff, you can clearly hear the tires spinning as well!

I can't help but to disagree, I think the volume conveyed is perfect. I specifically didn't want Borla-esque levels of volume, but more a refined aftermarket and exotic sound. I think they nailed it.

If people want louder they can straight pipe their cats imo.

I want the quick-silver sound, not MBRP or others. Keep it!

Are you saying this based on past experience or did I miss where the clip got posted?

He had recently posted the video over in the Facebook Quicksilver group.

I have no experience to draw from for this sort of thing. Clips seem too short with no start up or idle sounds for me to have an opinion. All the opinions I've read though indicate Borla is too loud for your average folk, so I also agree it should not be that loud.

I think he's talking about the supersport version. It's supposed to be louder than the "standard" QS catback. (correct me if I'm wrong).

That's the exact exhaust tone I was looking for. Excellent. QS emits a refined sound. There is no more pathetic and ridiculous exhaust sound than a car with an L4 or L6 or V6 engine with a sound that wants to imitate that of a V8 engine. IMHO.

Does the car have any other mods that would affect the volume? I haven’t heard any other exhausts in person but agree that Borla loud probably not for me. Great tone!
