Primary Cat Deletes

I've done the cat delete on other vehicles and won't do that again due to the smell. Thanks.

Smell? That's not a smell, that's an aroma. God I miss that. Nothing better than starting up a straight pipe car that is backed into your garage.

Tork,

Is the 408 whp without any sort of tuning? You aren't running LAP3 or anything that is strictly the bolt ons you listed above made 408 whp?

What did it make bone stock?

Did you use the same dyno from start to finish?

Looks like the readings are pretty high on this dyno. It's best to focus on the difference between stock and modded (65hp) instead of the actual complete whp readout.

With that said, a 65 hp is still impressive. An LAP3 should get you solidly north of 115.

What are those little bends that you added? I’m just wondering why they aren’t on the original pipes. Can you provide some insight on that?

O2 sensor housing, see post 6

Oh I see. But why aren’t they on the original pipes? That’s what’s throwing me off

They put the tube there to pull the O2 sensor out of the main flow of the exhaust gas to trick the ECU into not pulling a check engine light for the cat not working.

How difficult is it to install down pipes on this car? I haven't found any reviews or install videos for down pipes but if it's not too bad I might go for it.

To my knowledge no one is selling true downpipes yet (that attach to the turbo). The JunB ones are deleting the secondary cats and not he primary ones if I remember correctly.

@Sales@Tork was working on deleting the primary cats but I think they ran into issues with over boost and the last time I asked about them was told they weren’t any updates on production.

The secondary cat deletes or downpipes are not that bad to replace we have those currently on the car now. The primary cart deletes or downpipes are a nightmare and we were having issues going completely catless. So far we had not had any luck into digging further into said issue with the amount of work we have on our plate.

Are you selling down pipes that keep the primary cats? I want to leave those alone. Is it difficult to get to the bolts on the primary cats and are they really torqued on? I have read on other cars these bolts can sometimes snap when removing but I think those were studs in the turbo. I was thinking Jun bl down pipes but if you are making some Sales@Tork, I might wait. I watch all your vids and would rather support a USA shop.

Wait, the 408 is just bolt on eh??? And what combo achieved this?

RIP emission states. I would still like to see secondary cat deletes without overboost codes.

Hey Tork, how hard is it to attack a Down pipe install on the PITA meter?

Secondary cat = downpipes. The primary cats are attached to the turbo. Removing the secondary cats do not cause overboost and are simple to install. Secondary cats do not have O2 sensors either.

Pretty sure Tork was the 1st to remove the secondary cats and install Down pipes and they did indeed report overboost MIL/codes being thrown.

That was the primary cat. Plenty of people have removed secondary cats with no issues.
