Powerstop Z26 issue when driving

I recently installed the Powerstop Z26 pads and rotors kit I ordered from RockAuto. Not the first time I have done brakes, and had a buddy who helped me as well. I am now getting a clunking or galloping sound when driving the car when going anything over 5+ mph. Additionally the sound increases in speed the faster the vehicle goes. It does eventually stop, but not until higher speeds. Additionally, the sound goes away immediately upon braking, and returning shortly after letting off the brakes. Brakes work fine, quite good actually, much better than stock. But the sound is driving me insane as it's quite audible in the car. The weird thing is we cannot really hear the noise outside the car when doing test drives in a quiet area. We have tried removing / re-seating the rotors pads multiple times to no avail. It appears to be only coming from the driver front wheel area, but it's had to be sure. Outside of going back to the stock pads and rotors I am not sure what to do.

I did find another thread regarding the clunk of the pads shifting when going from drive / reverse, but nothing about the pads making noise while driving. I am assuming it the pads at least as I would have no idea what else it could be. Any other suggestions before I take it to a mechanic or look to have them returned? I really would like to avoid that as I love the performance increase over stock, but I cannot live with this noise in the car.

are you sure you have the retaining clips in correctly? you'd have to apply some decent pressure on the second pin to get it back in if you did it right. If they just slid in the clip is backwards. Also, you didn't put any additional shims behind the pad, correct?

sounds like the pads are shifting around on their retaining pins. also, did you tighten the caliper mounting bolts correctly? make sure the calipers can't move.

Sticking caliper piston? Check if they are all good.

Retaining clips were all secured, but it appears there might be some rubbing on them as some of the metal has shimmed off. Not sure how to install them backwards it seems like it would be impossible to do that. Also the clips are the same on top and bottom so I am not sure there is an upside down. No shims behind the pads.

Caliper mounting bolts are tight, the calipers cannot move.

the retaining clips that attach to the two retaining pins. yes there is an up and a down. Is this a GT with Brembos or a 2.0 without?

19 GT w/ brembos. Interesting well I guess I will have to investigate this as they seemed to be the same either way. What indicates up or down?

the clip is in the correct orientation when it's a pain to put the second pin through the caliper. If that second pin just slides right in with no pressure on the clip, it's upside down.

Ok, I will give this a try when I get the chance to work on it again this weekend. Thank you for the tip!

Just to make sure I am not tripping. This bracket looks identical either way I look at it, but there is an up/down orientation?

This is what it looks like installed correctly.s-l1200.jpg
When you install one side you should need to push the other side down and slide the retaining pin in through it.

I installed mine upside down at first but the only tell was a slight metallic rattle at parking lot speeds. Learned this one the hard way.
