Plug and play Dashcam

So I bought one and it came within 24 hours which was pretty shocking. I did talk with their customer service and I will say it was absolutely excellent. However I spent about an hour and a half yesterday trying to get it fitted and there was always a gap on one side or the other. I'm not sure if it was because of the y splitter being in the way but there seemed to have been more than enough room. After that time had passed eventually I broke one of the clips on the new cover. I was really frustrated because it's seems to be rather simple and there's just four clips total. I did reach out to them and they said they're sending me a new cover. I had already applied the CPL to the first one so hopefully I can just pop it off.

Basically it just seemed like the fit was just ever so not perfect. I could have left it and it would have worked but it would have drove me crazy with like a one centimeter gap on either the driver or passenger side.

Any suggestions?
What year is your car?

Interesting. Same as me. I was the one who did the test fit and I told them that on the test version. They said not to worry about it. I was able to get my production one up but it took a while. I suspect there is a problem.

Huh, that is interesting. So it seems they have not fixed that issue. Did you have to do anything specific to mount your production unit? Mine would attach and I could have left it but there was that gap that was me driving crazy.

They said they're shipping me another cover I don't know if that means it has the camera included but I already installed the polarizing lens so... Hmm. The dash cam would have really been helpful this morning as I got pulled over and they said I ran a stop sign. Obviously I disagree and I did stop but I didn't sit there for 5 seconds. Oh well.

I was going to buy one for my wife's Ford Explorer and I'm kind of glad that I didn't but I still have hope for this and their customer service has been really good.

I did get mine up and snapped correctly into place. I felt in the end like one of the major problems was the wiring harness not sitting in a good spot to allow it to snap into place. I moved it around a bunch and that’s when I got it where I wanted.

I guess better late then never:

Was finally able to get example video:
Front Cam
Rear cam

Thanks for posting these. Do you have any tint on that rear window? Mine are fairly dark and I'm not sure how well the camera would be able to see out...
Yes. 35% max legal limit

One thing I will say; at some point in the not-too-distant-future, I will get the polarizing filters they offer. The glare sometimes sucks like Pamela Anderson at a Motel 6.
