I have no exact pricing info, but I heard this thing costs over 1500bucks.

Yay or nay?
It works the same as the BMW Performance Steering Wheel (1 led for 1k RPM and blinks red at redline).

I like the alcantera design but not the second one mainly because of overstyling at the bottom of the wheel. That’s a huge price but I’m guessing it’s mostly due to the digital readout built into the wheel which looks crazy cool but a bit much for anything that’s not a race car or hypercar.

Interesting idea, but no it doesn't seem of much practical use on this car. I like the shape of the Alcantara wheel better, but don't want Alcantara on a steering wheel - I just see it becoming a hardened unappealing surface over time because of sweat and skin oils.

That's a pretty busy cockpit, between all the hanging doo-dads, stuck on plaques and device mounts, the dog bed on the dashboard, and the curio cabinet built out of the navigation display ... :p

I say nay, but I do like the carbon fiber accent. Didn't you get a carbon fiber wheel? How is it so far? Does the heating function still work in the carbon fiber area?

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
I had a full custom carbon fiber wheel on my last car, it was a mix of perforated leather, carbon fiber and was a flst bottom built from using the oem wheel as a base. The guy who made it did an amazing job and it looked oem. I loved it because it was a lot thicker than my oem wheel but I happen to think the Stinger wheel is a great design from the factory so not really worth the upgrade in my opinion.

The heating works only on the leather part.

Do you know if the carbon fiber gauge bezel in the first photo is available for sale anywhere? That looks cool.

I thought the Canadian Stingers came with the carbon fiber trim. Or is it just on the center console?

Mine has carbon fiber everywhere you would normally find aluminum but the bezel around the gauge cluster is just black plastic.

It is just hydrodipping. It does not look as good as the real thing from a close distance.

If I was going to autocross, I'd want this permanently in my line of sight (i.e. HUD or similar location) anyway (and I probably wouldn't have chosen the Stinger). For the strip (which I do), I'm not going to manually shift better than the auto, so not much use.

Blingy, though..

WTF is going on inside of that car? It looks like a little kid building a club house out of what ever they find in the garbage.

Come on now, to each their own.

Different cultures especially, everyone has their own idea of customization to be proud of.

I was told that manual shifting slightly before redline (~6000rpm) prevents dropping boost during gear change and is thus a little bit faster. Fake news?

We have 2 GT levels here , the top tier is referred to as the Limited and has brushed aluminum trim , the lower tier has a faux CF ....................
