I would like to pass on some opinions from an owner of a business here in Melbourne, who applies Ceramic Coating to luxury cars, and so far has had 3 Stingers coated from his workshop, he uses Ceramic Pro 9H, and another brand, which of course i have forgotten the name, but remember he told me it was superior and quite new with a rating of 10H. He also told me in his opinion, that the experience of having coated 3 Stingers, he told me , how impressed he was with the Stinger paint, said the paint they use at the factory, is quite premium.

This seems to be the colour that receives the most positive reaction but one that not many people actually commit to buying as compared to red and white at least being the most common choices. Same goes for the red Nappa leather vs black. I'm so please with this colour combination as I think it highlights the best of the Stingers premium luxury finishes and the ceramic coating means its just as east to keep clean as the lighter colours.469615.webp

My detailer shared the same feedback about the Stingers paint saying it was excellent to work with when applying the ceramic coating enhanced by the use of the Gyeon paint protection product also made in Korea and primarily for their vehicles. He noted the paint quality as better than the Audi and BMW cars he has worked on and also commented that the poorest performing paints to work on come from the Japanese brands most notably Subaru and Mazda saying although they do look good when new, because their emission laws force cars off the road after 7 years the manufacturers only make the paints with this shorter life expectancy in mind, his theory at least but makes sense.

Deep Chroma Blue porn, XXX rated!
Thanx for the great photos, i asked if i could have the Light Beige Nappa Leather, but of course, not available in Australia, so now im waiting for Deep Chroma Blue, with Black Nappa Leather.

Vinyl Wrap Mirror of a Kia Stinger, the side mirror seems to be silver before it is wrapped, maybe the body is already wrapped over a silver factory paintwork.

At the moment my car is getting full facial paint protection (full hood, side fenders, Side mirrors, Headlights and small parts here and there. Then applying ceramic pro to the whole vehicle. Should get the vehicle back next Monday, I will post some pics.

I've been doing a lot of reading on paint protection options and have come to the conclusion that a good quality ceramic coating is the best value for money investment to protect the paintwork at under $1000 as it will also minimize cleaning, maximize lustre and offer minor scratch protection.

The film protection for stone chips is also a great product but I cant justify the cost of $3000-$4000 for half a car (vulnerable areas) or $6000 - $7000 for the whole car. For that sort of money you could respray the whole car.

I must admit prior to purchasing the Stinger and researching the subject I was quite cynical about the idea of paint protection as my last experience from around 10 years ago was disappointing but I can now see the technology has advanced significantly and there are some great products out there, Ceramic Pro being one however I will be going for a newer product from Korea called Gyeon.

I'm hoping to learn the process of application to be able to do it myself in the future as regardless of the warranty offered I dont believe there is any product out there that will retain more than around 80% of its original composition after 12-18 months so yearly applications are necessary for optimum ongoing protection.

Here is the list of Certified Australian Detailers:

Gyeon Quartz Australia

This article on paint protection was one of the most informative ones I came across in my research:

Did you end up applying yourself and if so, how did it turn out? I am thinking of doing the same thing. It looks straight forward to apply just need to meticulous and patient I imagine.

That is excellent to know. I've also heard from other detailing forums that German cars tend to use much harder clear coats compared to Japanese cars. Even though hard clear coats can be harder to perform paint corrections on, they have better durability.

I recall that Lake Country, the buffing pad maker, recommend les hard pads for korean cars than they would for german cars .. which would indicate that asian coats are generally softer than on the germans. Weather this is accurate, who knows.

Perhaps Herr Schreyer requested harder clear coats on the Stinger.

Hi all!

does anyone in south florida have any suggestions for a ceramic installer / detailer? i'm worried about birds, bugs and tree sap. i guess i could do it myself, but i kinda prefer a professional

I got this zurichshield protection from the dealer 5 year warranty

Just got my Stinger back from a coating of Opti-Coat Pro, 5 year warranty. Looks great, drove it home in the rain unfortunately, but the detailer applied an extra water repellent layer to get me home. Water was beading like wax. The paint correction looks great and the buffing helped with the gloss. The guys at OCG are very professional and did a great job. The coating itself does dull the shine a bit. Will have more pics next week.

So you must be the grey Stinger that I've spotted on occasion :). May I ask you what are all the services you did at OCG and what it costs? You do mean OCG by Esna Park Dr right?

Sure, it was OCG on Woodbine. I did the opticoat pro 5 year warranty. Plus is 7 years and a few hundred more. I paid 1100. Their website is actually pretty good and lists most of their services and pricing. They also do ppf and cquartz.

Most the customer's cars that i deal with have a full ppf. Suntek or Xpel. Optically, I like the Suntek since when applied correctly, you can't tell it's on there. The Suntek comes with a 7 year warranty. It seems like a lot of people who own very high end cars get ppf instead of coatings. How good are coatings against rock chips and such? I am considering a ppf since rock chips destroyed my pearl white Optima ...

I currently have suntek full frontal front protection and have ceramic coating all over the car. I recommend both

A-glaze , 10year guarantee. They put it on Boeing aircraft so it must be good.
