Interesting. How’s the process different? I also have a hichroma red with no issues. But I have the full front covered in ppf and the entire car just got ceramic coated.Since The Red/Blue have a unique paint process I am interested to see if they are having any issues.
I had some issues with my yellow one as well. 3500 miles - 2 chips and peeling paint on back hatch under license plate. The plastic hatch under the license plate cracked as well.
My Micro Blue has gotten pretty bad. Close to 15 large and small chips in 3500 miles. Been talking to the dealer and district rep who agreed that shouldn't be happening...now waiting on a field service tech to look at it.Thank you for letting the group know about the paint issues. Have not noticed any problems as of yet with my Micro Blue; will keep a close watch,
Call the Stinger customer hotline, the more they know the better.Just checked mine and it has tons on the hood! Wtf man. I’m only at 4000 miles. I’ve got the Aurora Black.
Where can I get that numberCall the Stinger customer hotline, the more they know the better.
Well, a warranty repaint would likely fix the issue, especially on the hood now that they (apparently) have figured out what was wrong.Wow Dmchristie, that's just unacceptable.
That's not from a rock or debris, that's a flawed paint job. You can tell this by the visible primer coat. The top coat literally is flaking off.
Edit to add: This is extremely worrisome from my PoV. There is no way Kia can prove the entire paint job isn't flawed and simple repaints would not be an acceptable fix. What happens once the bumper to bumper is gone and half the hood flakes off one day....
