I'd not updated my JB4 in a while and I know the Maps changed but I'm not sure how the old maps top the new list. Here is the new list.

Map 0: JB4 disabled
Map 1: 4psi over stock peak tapering to 2.5psi at high RPM. Default performance map suitable for all 91+ octane fuels.
Map 2: 5psi over stock tapering to 4psi at high RPM. Suggested for 93+ octane fuel.
Map 3: 6psi stock tapering to 5psi at high RPM. Suggested for high quality fuel including unleaded race gas, ethanol mixtures up to 30%, or high quality octane booster like Torco or Boostane.
Map 4: Up to 7psi over stock. For use with unleaded race fuel and/or E85 mixtures up to 30%.
Map 5: Up to 7psi over stock but without top end taper. For unleaded race fuel use and bolt on modifications. May not be suitable for E85 mixtures due to high fuel pressure dropping. If using this map on E85 you should be experienced at reading your own logs and evaluating ignition advance and fuel pressure.
Map 6: User adjustable map. Enter value of boost over stock by RPM on user adjustment page.
Map 7: Progressive WMI (water/meth) map. Increases boost as a function of methanol flow & methanol boost additive. Holds boost low until WMI is flowing to avoid tip-in knock, and reduces boost as a function of WMI flow in the event of interruption like running out of fluid, leak, or component failure.
Map 8: Valet map, runs around half as much boost as stock

Previously I would run Map 3 on 93 pump gas no problems and Map 5 when I would put 4oz of Boostane in with a full take of 93.

So that said what maps should I be picking now?

I'm not the expert but map2 is perfect safe for 93, I did it last night several times. Add your boostane and go for 3, you'll be good to go. Try 4 if you're bold but without E85 to mix you might have issues. Try a hard pull and dissect the log before a second. If you're unsure post the log for guys smarter than us.

Thank, was hoping to find out what "3" and "5" are now compared to what they were before. I've tried E85 it didn't go well ended up with CEL and low octane code putting in 4gal of E85 with the rest being 93, that didn't go away until I went back to 93 which is why I've been using boostane now.

Hmm, sounds like a bad batch or something. I run 4 to 5 gals with 10 gals of 93 and my car likes it. It's too bad but heck, if the boostane is working it's probably easier than chasing gas stations that have both like I do. Good luck with 3 and 4 and let us know how it did.
also...
I updated my firmware to 19 today and the new modification to change the map with the intermittent wiper switch is money!

Here are some pulls today on 93 pump gas using Map 3. Didn't feel any issues, I'm not good at reading logs. Going to try some boostane tomorrow and Map 4. Let me know what you think of these logs.

Dont take my word as gospel but the logs look normal. The log that had several pulls is a tell tale sign of the engineering of Burger and your computer learning. The last pull you boosted just under 20 lbs., more than the rest. Air fuel mixture adapted, trims were normal along with ignition timing. Your fuel pressure stayed at or above 10 which is perfect. Not bad for just 93 and no E85.
With that said I'm a rookie compared to others reading these but nothing stood out.

Some timing variation on map3, log map2 for comparison's sake.

Here are a couple of Map 2 logs. I wasn't able to get much because of traffic if you need more just let me know.

Map2 is probably a better fit for the fuel being used.

Thanks Terry, next time I fill up and put boostane I'll get some Map 2 and Map 3 logs again.

Hey gents, the JB4 app on two of my phone's shows the names of the maps in the map selection, but my girlfriend's phone and Stinger, with the exact same firmwares and app numbers, do not. How can I rectify this?

I have two phones also and one does the same. The reason is one doesn't have a cell SIM card. If I'm near wifi when I fire it up, it will display.

Hey guys, I know alot of this is going to be based on mapping so I'll get logs when it's fully set. Getting the BMS 450 kit, secondaries and catback. We only have 91 here and I plan on buying boostane. I'll be adding about 6oz per tank to bring it to 96. Should I just save myself the hastle and cut it to 3 oz (to 93) and run it on map 2 or 6 on map 3?

I look forward to working with you guys as it's my first time boosted instead of pure displacement.

Cheers

On boostane mixtures use timing monitoring in the app to determine the best mix for a specific map. The fewer timing drops the better on octane boosters.

Hi all, just ordered my JB4 and some denso plugs, me being a retired tech (since 2011) but new to JB4 can you run map 3 on high octane 91 (US) and/or with octane booster. Also what are the best one now a days? thx in advance.

I wouldn't suggest it. I would try map 1 log it and post it up to have it looked at and confirm its good before trying map 2 and so on.

Was gonna run on map 2 mostly, also how do I get the app for free since I brought the adaptor?

App is not free.
