OEM (Kia) vs Tuxmat vs Weathertech

I just got a all weather mat for the trunk yesterday. Looks much better than the crap I had there before. Groceries will definitely slide all over now though.
Surprised to hear you say that. The OEM cargo mat that I have has a non-slip surface on it, that does a great job in keeping things planted.

Just ordered an entire OEM set including the trunk. :)

Tried the OEM All weather and felt they were too thin and not enough coverage.
Too thin? Not seeing that. Coverage is exactly the same as the carpet mats that come OEM.

Maybe mine isn't OEM.

Is this the same as yours?

It certainly looks like mine. I expected it would be hard plastic and stuff would be sliding around easily, so was pleasantly surprised to find it had a non-skid surface. A carton with any weight to it will pretty much stay put during normal driving.

This is the part number and description on the dealer's web site:

My car also came with the OEM cargo net as part of the standard equipment, which hooks to the factory tie downs and helps secure groceries, etc. from tumbling around.

You may be right. Maybe things will stay put. I haven't put anything back there yet. I have the cargo net as well but when I get groceries it's for me, three sons, and my wife so its way too much for the net. I guess I'll find out next time I go shopping.

Actually, I picked up some groceries tonight and when I took a look at the OEM mat I purchased in the Spring it is a different design. The invoice I have is for the same part number as I posted above (J5122-ADE00), so either they have the wrong picture on their site, or they've changed the design substantially. If the latter, it's very strange that they would use the same part number.

Note the straight bar design, and the offset Stinger logo. It is very much non-skid, though.

And when I compared the website picture I posted previously to your photo, I see those are actually two different designs as well ... so that's (so far) three different cargo mats (???). o_O

I just checked my invoice. The one I bought is part #J5F12 AU000.

I have the oem set along with a set of the MAXpider mats. MAXpider are definitely my choice. Look nicer. Better protection. Better fit. I use the oem cargo mat though. The oem mats don’t have a “premium” feel imo. I can provide pics if anyone is interested.

I like the WTs, but they are shallow in the section towards the back so you should wedge in a towel under thebliner innthat area so melted slush doesnt spill over and leak to the backseat floormat
