OEM (Kia) vs Tuxmat vs Weathertech

I am going to look at them side by side and decide which one I want to keep.

No , these are winter replacements for use in the off season

:cautious:

Rubber mats go on top of carpet mats for off season or they replace carpet mats (carpet mats go out of the car and rubber mats come in) for the off season?

Edit: My bad, I understand the confusion I created. I though he meant carpet mats will stay pristine under rubber mats. He might not have.

regular mats must be removed then WT , TM or rubber OEM go over original carpet ( not mats )

Aren't they supposed to replace carpet mats?
That's a point. But maybe I'll switch them back during the summer and just use the rubber mats during the winter, i.e. wear everything out half as fast. :D

Hey guys, update, I got OEM all weather and TuxMat, really like TuxMat, so keeping them and returning OEM all weather mats.

I put in the Tuxmats in April for the last of the Spring thaw, and ended up leaving them in all summer - I like the durability and tailored look of them year round, and the ease of cleaning. My OEM carpet mats have been sitting in the garage ever since.

It was really pain to clean carpeted mats on my old car. I am planning to sell the once I have.

I bought some weather techs and got free ones from dealership, if anyone is interested in the front mats OEM I’ll sell them and ship them at your cost (located in Ottawa)

They look nice! And functional. Mats are definitely personal preference.

If there’s one thing I was torn on for the TuxMats it was covering the dead pedal. I installed them so quickly after getting my car that seeing your photo reminded me of how nice that dead pedal looks, as I never see it. I think the TuxMats blend really well with the black leather interior. If I had a light or red interior I might be less into them.

I wouldn't want to cover up my aluminum dead pedal though.
Yes, you can make a case for it either way. The sport pedal look is concealed, but then you aren't dealing with crap collecting around the bottom of the pedal and under the outer front lip of the mat. Not that it's difficult to just lift the mat up and vacuum under it, but it does help in keeping things tidier.

I had the maxspider as well in my Acura before the Stinger. I liked it a lot, except for the reinforced area where the driver’s heel is supposed to rest got pulled up at the seam after about a year’s use. Had to glue it back down.

Agree on the logo - not sure why it needs to be so loud. Would be better plain.

I went with Tuxmat and love them. Tried the OEM All weather and felt they were too thin and not enough coverage. I did utilize the OEM trunk all weather mat for the rear hatch.

I just got a all weather mat for the trunk yesterday. Looks much better than the crap I had there before. Groceries will definitely slide all over now though.
