• PLEASE! It is VERY important that this area is not used for the discussion of technical issues with your Stinger. This section is for posting about regional-specific things like Stinger clubs, events, local vendor or dealer recommendations, KiaStinger.com member sightings, etcetera... In other words, I do NOT want people to need to scour through several different sections to find answers about their heads up display. That's why there's a section dedicated specifically to discussions like that. THANK YOU!

I thought I would kick this thread off, with this cruise still a few weeks away & details of the pre-meet in Sydney to be finalised, who’s interested or intending on going.

I am sure @Ozstung will post more once any further details are available.

Below are screen shots of the original posts from the Kia GT Owners Club Australia from Facebook.

I'm assuming we would go M1 and peel off at Calga onto Peats Ridge Rd until George Downes Dr then connecting with Great Northern Rd through to Wollombi Rd and then Cessnock. If so, that's about a 1hr 40min run.
Should we meet at McDonald's Thornleigh?
Subject to weather I'm in.

Funny you should mention meeting at McDonalds Thornleigh i did suggest that to FB. They told me to wait for their details. If its not in their details i think we should add it to ours its logical.

By tonight or Tomorrow we should have the info they gathered from there preliminary run.

Weather permitting & if all the stars are aligned it is our intention to attend

To those of you not on Facebook, just a quick reminder of the cruise in 2 weeks , 3rd March, would like to see everyone there if you can make it a great chance to meet & greet all newcomers.

A little while back i asked Kia gt FB to advise of when they would lets us know more about the Sydney contingents meet up point. I suggested Maccas Thornleigh just before the Freeway, they said they would post the detai soon. I still haven't heard anything since then.

Maccas @ Thornleigh is a good choice @ShannonC also suggested it previously as well, nearly anyone form Sydney heading up the coast will almost certainly have to pass it, the meet & departure times from there will have to be locked in to coincide the time we need to meet with everyone else at Peats Ridge.

So we would just have to estimate our time from there to this Cafe at Peats ridge.Which it says we would meet them there at 9.30.

Just put into WhereIs and it says travel time 54km at 36 minutes. So maybe an 8.15-8.30am meet time at Maccas unless Kia FB suggest somewhere else?

Sounds reasonable to me. Get away before 8.45 and we should be OK.

It’s approx. 36 mins not including traffic from my place using M4, M7 then onto Pennant Hills Rd/Cumberland Hwy.

Then a further approx. 40 mins not including traffic to Peats Ridge Rd & I’m assuming it’s the Corrugated Cafe on Peats Ridge Rd, can some one confirm this?

In order to be on time at the Peats Ridge rendezvous I believe all Sydneysiders should be at Macca’s Thornleigh well before an estimated 8:45am departure time NO LATER, if anyone misses this time window or cannot get there for this then head straight to Peats Ridge Meeting place before that 10:15/10:30am departure time.

How does everyone feel about this?

It doesn't say what the name of the Cafe is in the blurb. Tegan mentioned Alex will be arranging our leg when i messengered her on facebook a few weeks back.

We are only two weeks out but i don't want to annoy her as i have chivied the group in the past. Im thinking if ive heard nothing by Tuesday ill pm her again. Otherwise it will be the forum group meeting at Maccas i would presume. Damn i got to wash her again. Only done one internal clean in a year or was it two.:whistle:
