NOTICED KIA DEALERS DON'T SEEM TO BE GETTING AND NEW STINGERS

I frequently check the inventories of local Milwaukee area Kia dealerships for Stingers. For a while the dealerships had pretty many one dealership even had 12, that dealer only has 2 now a GT line and GT2. Another only has 1 GT line. Is Kia starting to cut down on production or just slowing down. Or they may just be selling so well that they out pace the production. Pricing still has market adjustments above MSRP.

I just picked up my stinger yesterday (NC). It luckily was a GT1 that I was on the hunt for. There are no GT1s anywhere near me they had one GT2 with a “market adjustment” of 10,000$. Seems like around me at least they are tough to find, and when you do, they are marked up.

Could be that with the chip shortage, Stinger production is being put on the back burner while other models such as the Telluride get pushed out. Whichever models give Kia the largest profit margin and are ordered most by dealers are probably the ones being built in the largest numbers.

Check out Gary Lang in mchenry, about 1-2 hrs from milwaukee. They show 4 at the moment. Looks like they're still selling below msrp.

The drift I get from dealers here in the PNW is 'supply chain issues'... perhaps they're all sitting out there on the container ships...

Sitting in ROROs, they don't come in containers, not sure if they are affected.

However they're packed, they're shipped on a boat, and that boat's in a line... and when it finally hits the dock, it sits in a yard waiting for a truck.

I went to a Cadillac dealer owned by the same company that owns the Kia dealer while my car was being serviced next door, and they had literally 1 new car on the lot. It's tough times for the dealers.

there hasn't been an option for dealers to place an order for a stinger for the last 2 months. some dealers are still entering dealer request for them in hopes that they re open it in the order system but I fear that its done. I wanted to order a GT2 for myself and they flat out took away the "stinger" option in the order system

Seems to me, even 5 years from now, when majority is working just to put a bread on the table, we'll still be talking about return to normal. Ignorance is bliss. But again, i hope, i am just a crazy guy, who doesn't know what's he's talking about.

Jerry Seiner (South Jordan)? I was there a month ago and it was not that bad. I saw a couple of '22 and half a dozen earlier/used Stingers. I hardly paid attention to the other stuff, but did notice a couple of Tellurides and K5s.

Yea its definitely weird. My dealer here in Eastern WA rarely has any 2022 but their is a new Hybrid import dealer here in town that has 8 2022 Kias.

That is weird... our kia dealer has 9 NINE ! new stingers .... and 4 new sportages.... litterally no other new cars on the lot...

Went to my Audi dealer to change my battery and they were mostly 2nd hand non Audi cars on the lot. So weird!

Last time I was at my dealer they had no new cars on the lot and a handful of used. I do not see this being cleared up any time soon.

I'm about an hour east of Portland, but keeping my eye on inventory in WA and OR... hoping to find the 'right car for me' before the last of the stingers are built!

This was the Cadillac dealer next door to the Salt Lake Jerry Seiner. The kia dealer had a couple Stingers including a Scorpion, but I didn't pay much attention to their stock honestly, the Scorpion was just on the showroom floor so it was easy to spot.

Any gt1 with red leather are a sunroof is the one man just nab one up before they are all gone I'm about an hour north of Portland
