I went to a Cadillac dealer owned by the same company that owns the Kia dealer while my car was being serviced next door, and they had literally 1 new car on the lot. It's tough times for the dealers.

I had a very nice 2016 Chevy SS (LS3 engine) destroyed by a moron driving his sisters 21 yr old beater of a Honda. Hit me head on, SS was totalled. Jerk had no insurance. Fortunately, a cop was on scene and said it was 100% the other driver's fault and was unavoidable.

Looked into Cadillac CTV-4s and 5s. Few arriving at a local and large dealership, a month or so out, no autos, a deal breaker with my wife. They'd have about 3 nice and inexpensive options but to get those, you had to take a $5500 option package, then they added $10,000 "Market Adjustment", so the CTV-4s were near $95K out the door, no thank you.

Got exactly what I wanted right off the transporter truck, a 2022 Ascot Green GT1 RWD at MSRP. Guess I could have haggled but there were no others locally and they might well have laughed and suggested I look elsewhere. I'm happy, the car is great. Don

I was there for the Blackwing. Shockingly they didn't have any and the ones that were coming were spoken for.

Thought I'd make a separate post rather than an edit of my post about a head on. Might make you smile about fighting uninsured motorists.

My insurance is USAA, they tried to recover money from the at fault driver, who by the way, twice asked me not to get the insurance company involved as he supposedly had the $. I SERIOUSLY doubted it and USAA would not appreciate me keeping them out of the loop. 3rd phone call from him I told him not to call again, I was dealing with my insurance company.

Since the uninsured failed to cough up $, they sicced a recovery company with some attack lawyers on him to make his life unpleasant. They can prevent him from renewing his license or registering his car etc but I think he's a no load and will skate. Don

Yeah someone who will drive without insurance will probably drive without a license or registration too. You'd think that would be a big deal but I've seen a shocking amount of cars with no rear license plate driving around not being stopped by cops.

Yeah someone who will drive without insurance will probably drive without a license or registration too. You'd think that would be a big deal but I've seen a shocking amount of cars with no rear license plate driving around not being stopped by cops.

Cops have to see it. That's an easy ticket, so when they see it they will pull it over. Just a matter of time.

Interesting perspective, I can imagine certain neighborhoods where they might skip that infraction. I know in Vegas they pay the bills with these types of tickets.

My dealer north of Toronto had no new Kias on the lot. Zero! It was the quietest car dealership I have ever been in. Thankfully they had a 2018 Stinger GT which is in my driveway now.

I was at my dealer in Covina Tuesday, and they only had one Stinger, an Ascot Green GT1, on the lot, which had just come in a couple of days earlier.

Well I joined the club. Pearl white GT2 scorpion. Picked it up yesterday in a small town in North Texas that only had two cars in stock. The GM drove it while he was waiting for his truck to come in. I actually traded my truck for this and wasn't sure if I'd fit...6'2 and 250 lbs....fits like a glove and love this thing!

Yep, washing away 2021's sins, I hope.

My dealer's website now lists the Ascot and a Pantera GT1, both with a $400 "dealer discount." But the lot was so empty of new cars otherwise that it looked like they were setting up for a barn dance. Very sad.
