So yeah, this is not really KIA related, but today I dropped off my Stinger to get it repaired for a dented rocker panel cause by an auto shop while lifting my car. The auto shop gave me a loaner vehicle (2004 Jeep Liberty with 167,000 miles). Driving home from work today, I am on an intersection at a stop light about to make a left turn. When the light turned green, I proceeded to turn left along with other cars ahead of my, then BAM! for some reason, the POS vehicle would not straighten back up after making the left turn causing the vehicle to run over a median and spun me around on the same side of the road facing the on coming vehicles. All I saw is a white honda passing by me as the vehicle spun around. I could have sworn the moment I hit the curb, the car bounced and spun, that the vehicle would flip over and I'm history with all the turning vehicles coming my way. Miraculously, I did not hit a single car, and no visible damage to the vehicle, and I was able to turn the car around in the right direction to continue driving it home. I'm still shaken up and kept re-hashing the incident in my head on what happened and what could have caused the vehicle to behave the way it did. I wasn't speeding or anything when I made my turn, and it was scary as hell. Now I'm afraid to even drive the vehicle, even to return it back to the auto shop. With the weather about to get worse in the next coming days, my anxiety of driving this loaner vehicle is also increasing dramatically. I'm not exactly sure what to do now. The vehicle drove fine after the accident, with no apparent issue. Should I call the auto shop, tell them what happened, and ask them to take the car back, or do I not report it and just not drive the vehicle until my car is fixed? Anyway, I guess I have my guardian angels looking out for me today, but this is one experience I would not forget. One lesson I learned today is that, don't take anything fore granted. Cherish the people you love because what's there today, might not be there tomorrow.
