So this morning I get in my Kia stinger and and the ABS light is on the Traction control light is onRed brake light is onAnd the alt hold Amber light is on. Call the dealership said they can't get the car in for 2 weeks and that there are no loners available in a 100 mile radius from where I live in nor will they pay to get me a rental car my car is currently undrivable and the brakes are not operable. Called corporate see if they can entice the dealership to get me a loner car the answer was no. Called to get a rental car to have a Volkswagen Jetta for 4 days it will cost me $1400 out of pocket I could be reimbursed for this but I really don't have $1400 to just pay out right now and wait months to get reimburse from Kia seriously don't know what to do

That is possibly the second worst case scenario I can imagine: the first being electrical issues that nobody can resolve. And to have Kia Corp. just dump you like that? Maybe rethink this and approach them again with a different tactic? Maybe you put them off somehow?

Has the recall work for your brake parts been done? Failed parts in the master cylender or (hopefully) just a lose brake line or something... regardless I'm very sorry for your trouble.

The dealership said that they had no loners due to the fact that they sold them all due to the car shortage that is going on currently right now. And kia might cover your rental only up 34 dollars a day. The dealership Manger said that they don't even get demo any more. A car salesman drove me home in his 22 stinger and both front door handles were ripped out he said build Is quality has went done since 2020. I hope no one's car breaks down because you're screwed .

Got it done in June. I have nothing but problems with my 21 stinger.
1 black chrome pieces starting peeling
2 pass door made contact with finder
3 front bumper paint peeled repaint 2 times
4 waste gates failed
5 rear pass and driver front door latches failed and replaced
6 radio screen whent out
7 abs light on brake light on traction controll light on today no brakes.
My car has 13654 miles been nothing but problems. I love the stinger but dislike kia for not standing by ther craftsmanship of the car. I'm convinced any car made in 2020 2021 is gona have quality control issues.

Check your insurance policy. Most have car rental coverage, FYI.
That coverage usually kicks in when the vehicle is repaired due to a collision/comp loss, not mechanical break down. Some policies offer mechanical breakdown coverage too. Not sure if the rental portion applies in these cases.

I had to fight tooth and nail to get a loaner when my Stinger was in the shop under warranty repair for over four weeks...

Dang, that sucks. Time to look at lemon law conditions?

Wow…just wow…

Get rid of it immediately.

I second that. Also wanted to add that my 2021 thus far has been rock solid, not a single mechanical issue in ~10,500 miles. Sounds like a lemon, and might be worth exploring lemon laws in your State.

Just for sake of casting a tiny bit of shade on this thread, the number of issues listed in such low miles on a relatively new vehicle is hard to believe. This would rank as possibly the most issue riddled sub 30,000 mile Stinger I've ever seen posted on these forums. It's definitely double-take territory considering the overall satisfaction and lack of issues among owners (on this forum and through reliability surveys), even among those treating their Stingers less than delicately.

If you truly had this many issues and hadn't already looked at lemon law options, then a bit of this is 'on you' for not dumping/getting out of this car sooner. All the signs are/were clearly there.

Who is going to reimburse you $350 per day for a rental?

That situation sucks

Rental cars are ridiculous right now in several markets due to the car shortage.
Pretty sad state of affairs.

What year is yours? (Didn't see it in the OP or signature).
The 2022 door handle issue is known, been reported in other threads on this forum. There is a recall or TSB (forget which) on it.

I have looked in too lemon law the same issue has to happen 3 times so like for me my pass rear door latched failed 1 it has to fail 2 more time on that door not a different door for lemon law

Update on the car the abs Hydraulic Actuator motor went out on the car They got the part and bled the brakes as of right now the pedal keeps on going to the floor. With no signs of visible leaks outside of the car. As of right now they think that a seal in the master cylinder has blown out due to the actuator motor failing. Talk to the technician and they said it's the bleeding process on the car is a very strenuous process to be done correctly and apparently they have to have a scan tool computer hooked through the ABS module to bleed the brakes correctly. They are currently in contact with Kia In Kia stated that this has happened to several cars and are possibly going to issue a new Service bulletin.

Needing a scan tool to properly bleed ABS brakes is not something new… This is just more evidence of Kia tech incompetence… this isn’t rocket science.
