Im in the rural area in between Halifax and Truro, a few other Stingers around but they are by no means common.
Agreed, but I think it's more than just the logo. Sedans just aren't selling now; people want crossovers and SUV's for some reason. Personally, I never liked SUV's and CUV's.I was looking at sales statistics for the Stinger, both here and in the US.
Best year was 2018 (year one). They declined every year after that.
Can't find any stats for 2023 sales in Canada, but the first half of 2022 saw less than 500 sold.
Even here in Ottawa, I rarely see one. As I said earlier, I actually like the fact I have a car that not many other people have.
Too many people buying cars based on the logo on the trunk lid, rather than the car itself.
My brother in law is a good example. He'll only buy Honda's. Never bothers to shop around or compare or do any research.
When he needs a new car, he just goes to the Honda dealer and buys whatever they have.
you are repeating what I read / hear. but everywhere I go I see plenty of sedans still. maybe it will take a few more years for them to get rare? or maybe a group of drivers prefer sedans and always will. I don't expect them to disappear or even become uncommon.Sedans just aren't selling now; people want crossovers and SUV's for some reason.
I still see plenty of sedans, but looking around my neighborhood, most own cuvs and suvs. I think they will be rare-er, but likely won't completely go away.you are repeating what I read / hear. but everywhere I go I see plenty of sedans still. maybe it will take a few more years for them to get rare? or maybe a group of drivers prefer sedans and always will. these figures say is that drivers who want to have fun are outnumbered over ten to one by drivers who just drive, out of new car buyers at least.I still see plenty of sedans, but looking around my neighborhood, most own cuvs and suvs. I think they will be rare-er, but likely won't completely go away.
The figures don't lie though. 2022 had about 7k stingers sold in the US....compared to 93k for the telluride. I personally would much rather have a Stinger.
Agreed, but the RAV4 outsold the Camry in 2022, for a comparison of vehicles for people who just drive, so for the average non-enthusiast, they are gravitating to CUV/SUVs like months to a flame, or like a fat guy to a buffet.these figures say is that drivers who want to have fun are outnumbered over ten to one by drivers who just drive, out of new car buyers at least.
