3.3TT New STILLEN Intake and Cat-Back Exhaust Coming Soon

If I can't buy from someone else other than K8 then I won't be getting Stillen

You can probably purchase directly from Stillen.

I fully expect the pricing to be announced in two weeks. HAHA!

Absolutely zero confidence with these ETA's lol.

Hopefully their timeline is finally somewhat concrete now that they're going to start accepting preorders. It would be a shame to take people's money if they're going to continue the "2 more weeks" game that they've been playing for months.

Yeah, I'll believe it when I see it.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
Spoke to them again good news they don’t know when it’s going to be available but they do have information on the exhaust.

They don't know when the intake that they are accepting money for will be available????

I don't have any prior experience with Stillen. Is this how they normally do things?

I wouldn't say they've missed the boat...yet. But they aren't doing themselves any favors with this fluid timeline, lack of information, and willingness to accept people's money with no firm shipping date set.

Just throwing this out there. The Stillen design isn't as cut and dried as most of the others. It's not just welding together some bent tubing.
This will be the 3rd semi-enclosed intake on the market. It's likely not all being manufactured in house. They would be dealing with vendors making molds / tooling for their plastic enclosures which is a lot more time consuming than that of JT making laser or waterjet cut aluminum and bending it on a break in house. And K&N is a much larger company so they surly have more resources than any of the other brands.

I agree that the delays suck but if you've ever been at the mercy of outside vendors making tooling and getting things run on thermoforming or injection molding machines it can take months.

Griping about it multiple times a week is kind of pointless. The car is still in its infancy as far as the market goes and I'm just glad that there are so many options available at the 6 month mark. I had a 5th Gen Legacy GT prior to this and it never had half this much support from the aftermarket world and it was an established model.

At this point it is just funny. We all know they will release the items when they are ready, but it makes me smile every time I see two weeks!

I see your point but, maybe some expectation management was needed. If they weren't ready they should have said nothing. If they weren't manufacturing final units they shouldn't have said two weeks. Seven times. Had they said nothing we would have been none the wiser. Now it's a PR mess.

That is probably true with the manufacturing point, we have no idea what they have been going through. It seems like they were stringing people along with the 2 weeks thing since June. Maybe they were trying to keep people interested and not buying another manufacturers product. Maybe they kept on thinking they were right around the corner.

To say it is a PR mess is a bit much. They kept the 20 people in the US that have posted to this thread waiting 2 months... They kept their 365 HP cars from becoming 380HP and having a cool woosh. We've got it pretty rough ;)

But to fan the flames. They have posted on another forum where people aren't getting their panties in a bunch that pre-orders will start next Monday 8/6.

That's less than 2 weeks
