New Shiny Part From RPM

Pipe looks fine (stock isn't a restriction so don't expect any power over the stock pipe, we tested it), but skip the knock off Tial! They are problem prone. Get a real Tial valve for it.

So maybe try and purchase this minus the knock off? Which Tial valve do you recommend?

On FB the guy did offer to sell it without their BOV so that is possible and they will custom paint them as well

I don't have an official answer on that for you as it's way at the bottom of my list of things to do so I've not researched it but Sal on his site has Tial BLACK (6psi) but he sells it with an adapter which you wouldn't need. Most other Kia parts stores are selling them in pairs. Also looks like BMS recommends the same and sells their adapter with the Tial BLACK as well. Based on just that I would say that's the recommended as BMS has probably done a lot of testing with it for their adapter. There might be a different recommendation though since this it's a bit different then just being an adapter.

They come in different colors, they just happen to use a black Tial.

What they are using is a Tial Q 50mm BOV with a 6psi spring, you can get it in black, silver, red, blue, purple.

There ARE other companies that have 50mm BOV's but you'd need to make sure they work with a Tial V-band clamp/flange.

Actually they said on their FB post that it's not a Tial it's a Tial knock off

I was replying to this "I've not researched it but Sal on his site has Tial BLACK (6psi) but he sells it with an adapter which you wouldn't need"

Yes and you can clearly see from the pictures its a knock off.

You were asking what BOV to use etc..I was simply stating what other companies are using with which spring also since its a Tial flange I would use a GENUINE Tial on it, that's what I was getting at.

And by BMW I mean BMS....

I've spoken to them, the kit from RPM Motorsports COMES WITH A KNOCK OFF TIAL!!! I don't know why people are getting confused, you can even tell from the pictures lol...

Anyone else but this part? I bought it and I'm having all sorts of issues...

1) Hoses don't fit, they are too large compared to stock.
2) No vacuum caps.
3) No 6mm vacuum hose
4) Collector will rub against the pulley.
5) Paint quality is horrible.
6) Welds are awful, there is loose aluminum on the inside.
7) tubing gaps were filled in by welding them closed.
8) All sorts of turbulence producing imperfections on the inside.

I'm left with a product that requires you to manually bend aluminum and buy all new hoses in order for it to fit. If you go to the pictures on their website it shows that the motor mounts are bent, while the unistalled product pictures have perfectly 90 degree bends.

If you have this product and got it on please share any tips that you have.

It was a red flag, in terms of potential quality and workmanship, when the product ships with a knowingly counterfeit part. Back away slowly after that. If they’re willing to sell a counterfeit TiAL who knows what other corners are being cut, which @StungnTn is finding out.

Very sloppy indeed. With those types of welds I’m wondering if the first bump won’t cause a fracture that sends you searching for a boost leak.

Save yourself the hassle, just go back to what you had before.

The tial shown is not a counterfeit, I bought it separately. But yeah, I'm not impressed.

Wow. That's pretty damn awful lookin! Sorry to hear you're having that issue, good thing it's known now.

They are going to see if there is a solution, they have been accommodating in that regard.
