Hey all!

Just signed for my Stinger GT2 today with Red interior!
I traded in my 13 WRX for it and got a pretty good deal for the lease.
It still has to get unwrapped and I pick it up Monday. I’m so excited!! Been waiting for this car and it’s a dream come true. Had a tough time deciding between the Ceramic or Black with Red interior but I went with the black. Should be uploading pics soon!

Congratulations! Did you get AWD since you're coming from a Subaru? Welcome to the forum.
Yea for sure. Thought it would be the safest thing. But they come with summer tires! Yikes!

Congrats on your new Stinger!

If you're considering all-seasons, I have the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3+ which I'm very satisfied with the overall winter traction and wet/dry grip.

Welcome to the forum! What was the deciding factor to move from the WRX?

The car has everything. Speed. Nice exterior. Sexy exterior. One thing about owning a WRX is you always want to mod something. I was just tired of feeling like my car was incomplete.
I got a 2017 Sorento for my wife and it was the last straw for me. It was way to nice and the Stinger is just as nice on the inside. Plus I got a good deal for it too. Couldn’t pass it up

I hear you man. The Sorento is a nice ride and KIA really stepped it up when they redesigned it for 2016. The Stinger is a beautiful looking car with a ton of power under the hood. It's a great car to drive daily and the power kicks in when you step on it. Congrats!

Thanks. No afraid to admit I got spoiled with her heater steering wheel and Apple car play lol

Welcome! The wife & I now have our 4th KIA. I bought a 2012 Kia Optima SX then just traded it in for the 18 Stinger GT lease. Wife had a 14 Sorento lease and changed it to a 17 Sportage turbo lease. They have stepped up their game and have amazing cars.

Optima to a Stinger is a big step up!

We Optima owners have been wanting a better performing Optima and we got the Stinger GT. The 2.0T performs well but the Optima is a quieter vehicle than the Stinger 2.0T, I hope KIA corrects that and bump the torque a bit more on the 2.0T engine in the Stinger. I enjoy the 3.3T but don’t really need the power, but if they don’t quiet the cabin in the 2.0T and the Genesis is as nice I might go that route. Time will tell, I prefer the Stinger overall but I can’t go from a quieter car to one costing more with more noise.

I wasn’t impressed with the 2.0T. I drove it because the dealer sold their GT, then the deal didn’t go through so I drove the GT after. I was sad after driving the 2.0T but the GT cured that. I even told the sales guy I’d buy an Optima SXL over the Stinger Premium. Same 0-60, better MPG, regular gas for the SXL, and 360 camera, adaptive cruise control, quilted Napa leather, etc.

On a side note, I am not sure if anyone else noticed, but the Stinger’s backup camera is seriously impressive. Looks HD and can see perfect in the dark.

The 2.0t is louder in the cabin than the GT? Didn’t notice that when I test drove it.

I never even got a chance to drive the other one. My subie was at 300hp and I didn’t want less that that

Agree. I had no interest in the 2.0T. But at that time, no one out here would let you drive a GT without making a deal (made no sense). Beggars can’t be choosers ;)
