New Logo

The quiet exhaust sound has always been a hot topic about the Kia Stinger since it was released, and seems to have been mentioned in every Youtube video review, about six months ago I came across a review on the Fiat 500 Abarth, and i heard its exhaust note , since the topic of Abarth has been bought up in this thread, and i have thought to post a video of its exhaust note for some time now, just to compare how great it sounds to the stock Stinger exhaust, and yet it is such a small car. I have really liked the Fiat Abarth badge for some time, even looking them up on Ebay. Maybe Kia should have thought of a badge to set our Stinger apart, with its own unique badge.

Here is a video of the exhaust note while driving.

Holy crap.... It's as loud as a Harley! Lol. How on earth have I never heard about this car!

People still will debadeb because it doesn't say Porsche or Lamborghini. Never understood why you wanna debadge is like went to pretend it's not a Kia because you changed badges?o_O
I don't have any issues with rebadging, our current Kia's have the kia stock badge. In Korea they don't have the same badges and when I get my Stinger I do intend to change badges. They are still Kia badges so I don't think it takes anything away from Kia.The K badges are their vintage badges and the E badge stands for " Excellence in engineering " which if anything is complementary. Some of these badges look more classy and unique than stock badge but each to their own.

The Fiat Abarth brand is a very historic one that had lots of racing and performance connotations in Europe. I googled "old fiat abarth cars"
For example see this 1965 Fiat Simca Abarth (Simca - now that goes back too ...)
There are lots of good looking Italian stalions" or "crumpet catchers" from that era.

It is a great looking badge, pregnant with history.

I hope this is of interest.

I'm not of fan of car logos that just spell out the brand name and slap it on front and center. It seems lazy and looks a little tacky/trashy. I like a symbolic badge or a crest. A single letter (Like the H for Hyundai or A for Acura) is a step in the right direction.
Ferrari, the tacky car. Porsche, the trashy car. :D

I wouldn’t want my Stinger sounding like that.

I like the badge in the original post, but I also kinda like the existing badge on the Stinger. People see it and say wow, what is that? And when they get closer and see the KIA badge, they are surprised. ;)

I love the look of that badge and hoped they would introduce it a the new KIA badge. Start making all their cars perform better and change over tot this badge. They could still put up top, without the vehicle model at the bottom, people would still know it is a KIA but instead of the script which, for some, harkens back to their early days here when some of their vehicles had issues. This logo could replace the script and the model name can be listed on or across the back., like they are doing with the newer Hyundai vehicles. Unless their plan is to launch a luxury line and use that badge.

I'm one of those people who DON'T like the big "E" badge. Kia doesn't start with "E", and all it does is create confusion when a logo is supposed to clearly announce the brand. I hope Kia doesn't adopt this badge worldwide.

They also have the this one, which I do prefer over the E for excellence badge.

^ Yeah, that's not bad.

Totally think the rationale for the E badge is silly.

Kia (as well as Hyundai) needs to redo their badge (whether or not they also do a distinctive emblem for the Stinger in other markets); something Kia designers are aware of, but of course, the decision to do so will have to come from top.

As for the KDM Stinger badge - they should just get rid of the E and fill the circle w/ the ying and yang symbol - which harkens back to the South Korean flag (at least this way, it would mean something that isn't as silly as what the E is supposed to symbolize).

Hey now, don’t beat them up on that. They did give the Korean spec cars some better stuff than we got, for one I know our suspension components didn’t get the same treatment as the Korean cars and there are some other things we don’t get outside of Korea. That badge from my understanding is an old one. I saw it on some old vehicles back in 2012 when I was in Mongolia, then some years later in Korea, I think it was on a bus or truck. I figured maybe they use something different on those vehicles. Now when people see it, they think they are copying Lexus. The “E” badge as it’s being referred to was designed to reference 4 wheels and an engine, forgot the rest but I watched the Korean presentation video when Peter Schreyer (I think it was him, not Biermann) spoke about it. I’ll see if I can find the video.
