Im not sure if this is the appropriate section to post this, but i thought it could be helpful to those who may have any questions or want some general info. I work in a KIA dealership & own a 2018 GT1 myself. I only recently started working here as a salesman so I don’t know everything, but maybe i can supply some info on the tech & sales side of things. If its something i don't know, i can try to find it out for ya :)

GT1 with the GT2 interior package..... Yeah. So you own a GT2. its not an interior package.

To be honest, if you are going to be a salesmen for the stinger, you will learn more from poking around here than you will ever at the dealership.

What has kia done to improve the end user experience at the dealership? Specifically in the service depts?

Some folks have had positive service experience while others not so much. Given this is kia's flagship car, the service inconsistency does not reflect as much.

How much is the dealership you work for marking up the out the door pricing on new Stingers? Do they preemptively install useless addons to pad their bottom line before the car is even put up for sale?

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
It's comical to think that a Kia salesman - especially a newly hired one - has knowledge that the posters here don't already have.

That's SO "Kia salesman" of you. This is going to be hilarious.

I'm guessing he owns a GT1 and he just doesn't know any better, which makes his post even more cringe.

wtf is a gt1 with gt2 interior package lmao

You just don't know about it because you don't have the "insider info." You Stinger noob!

Lay off him fellas

I actually have a legit question. Luka, you posted a couple of weeks ago that you had just bought a brand new 2018 Stinger. Was the car really brand new, as in never sold/registered or did you just mean "brand new to you"?

If it was really brand new, what's the story behind that?

The sales team Towbin Kia in Las Vegas put a nice 8K market adjustment on their '23 GT-Line, and I walked out. He said he could "work with me" lol.

The dealers here are all, for the most part, crooks. I ended up getting mine mid-pandemic, just before the car supply insanity, and Findlay on Sahara did fine. I balked at the nitrogen filled tires and tint, and I think one other thing, they preinstalled. They knocked most of it off during negotiation. I walked out happier, happier now with things gone crazy in the car market a few weeks after I drove the car home.

There's a FTC proposal to ban this practice. We should all be commenting in its favor.

Come on now lets give them a shot! You are probably right, they probably don't know much, but they at least reached out to us here right? lets try and guide them in the right direction. (Unless they seem really hopeless) If they stick with the "I know more then you" attitude, then we can rip them a new one.

Honestly, this particular issue varies from dealer to dealer. It is a widespread problem though and KIA is trying to address it. I had a bunch of coursework i had to complete and the majority of it centered around customer service & ensuring the customer is happy with their experience. It seems like KIA finally stepped it up & is seeking a better future for their customers…time will tell but for now, id wager that services & overall satisfaction will get better!

Brand new to me lol. One previous owner that garage kept it & only drove it on the highway for the most part. I shouldnt have said “brand new” but you get the jist. Sorry for the bad wording

I only fill my tires with a natural organic blend of 78% Nitrogen. Nothing else comes near my tires.

Its my way of simplifying it. When i say GT2 interior package, i mean it has the sunroof, nappa leather interior (red), 7inch infotainment (although the standard 2018 GT1 model comes with that), and the Harmon Kardon Speakers. Its just the “loaded” version, minus the shift by wire thats of course limited to the GT2 models. Im well aware that its not the legitimate term but hey, i’m kinda dumb & similar-ish labels help me grasp things better

If you only have the 7 inch screen, hate to break it to you but you only have a GT with the sun and sound package, not a GT1 or a GT2.
The GT1's and GT2's both came with 8 inch screens instead of the 7 inch ones.
