New here

I've driven the 2.0 and all I gotta say is this 2.5 is totally different, tons of torque and it just gets up and goes, a lot of fun, no v6 envy here!!
Now I REALLY can't wait for the test drive.....

I am guessing that the 2.5L is only a little different than the 3.3L, not noticeably different in most situations.

Aesthetics are the same, 0-60 is about a second slower than the 3.3.

I drove the Sorento AWD with the 2.5t and found that it moved very well. I can only imagine it would happily push the Stinger around without breaking a sweat.

Yes. Zero to sixty is a definite comparison. But light to light? Pole position, kickdown switch, on most open roads, is going to feel subjective: especially when you don't go from one Stinger to the other, deliberately comparing what you feel.

Passing fast is my main reason for having the 3.3L. This comparison (much like a high speed rolling start) is what I would be looking at.

Ive had 0 issues passing fast, engine is very responsive and lots of torque.

That's what I am thinking: other than full-on, WOT passing (rare enough), there would likely be little to no perceivable difference in the 2.5L and 3.3L when downshifting and pulling out to pass fast.

What is the rated (limited) top speed of the 2.5L? I've never read anything stating that (for that matter, I never heard what the purported top speed of the 2.0L is either; or I've spaced off knowing that, heh :P).

That's a good question, I'll have to look into it.

I drove the 2021 2.0 GT Line before buying my 2019 GTS. Night and day. I had a 2013 Optima SXL prior to and my butt dyno says it was faster than the 2.0 Stinger. My girl was with me on the test drive and said the same, even though the 0-60 time the media quoted was slower.
I couldn’t justify $35k for a new GT LINE with Sun/Sound over the CPO 2019 GTS D-AWD and a TT V6.

Great responses man......

This is where I am at when deciding on going for the new 2.5 or straight to the GT. Coming from the 2.0. this is what I was hoping for in the 2.5. "Mrakifa", please continue to offer any impressions you have as you put more miles on the car. Not interested in "stoplight warrior" kind of stuff just ideas on how the 2.5 responds driving at say, 60mph and having to go around the slow driver in front (safely of course).

Top speed for the 2.0 is 133. Been there....with and without jb4. Only difference is jb4 gets you there a little quicker....;)

Another reason for the 2.5 opinions is that I am pretty much ready to "quit the JB4 bottle"......so to speak. Still a good product though.

Coincidentally, I just asked the new "German" member what his 2.0L top speed is, because he said the limiter must go. :D
