I've decided to replace my front rotors with some that are drilled and slotted. While I've done this many times on other vehicles, none had Brembos.

From those who already did this, please share any tips? Are there any surprises I need to be aware of?

Thanks!

Removing the pads is different on a fixed caliper system like this compared to a more common floating caliper. You remove the pads first, then unbolt the caliper. Just push the two pins out with a punch. Any of the videos for a brembo setup will be similar. And there's anchoring screws for the rotor.
Nothing terribly special.

pretty straight forward imo. What rotors are you going with?

Thanks!

I found a set with lifetime warranty here.

Agree with @oddball nothing special when servicing the brembos. Remove pads first then caliper. Remove screws holding rotors and remove rotors.

Im going to do the same on mine as the vibration came back. Which pads did you get?

I decided to go with these.

Slightly less than 100 miles in: first impressions are; they look great and bite hard, even with the stock pads (new pads haven't arrived yet). Add these to the lifetime warranty and black zinc plating, I am very happy.

I'm sceptical and looking forward to what you think she some more miles. I don't believe a pair of rotors should be $2k, but $130 for a pair seems too good to be true.

Does the black coating stay on after braking or is it temporary? Did you only do the front?

Yes, only the fronts so far.

The black is worn off where the pads make contact, but remains everywhere else. They look like this. 20190418_163622.webp 20190418_163445.webp

The picture shows $145 each not $130 for pair or did I miss something?

Don't go drilled, there's no benefit to doing so on a street-driven car. Slotted and/or dimpled is plenty.
