• PLEASE! It is VERY important that this area is not used for the discussion of technical issues with your Stinger. This section is for posting about regional-specific things like Stinger clubs, events, local vendor or dealer recommendations, KiaStinger.com member sightings, etcetera... In other words, I do NOT want people to need to scour through several different sections to find answers about their heads up display. That's why there's a section dedicated specifically to discussions like that. THANK YOU!

New Corvette

Yes and every model before. The C8s have been testing uncovered for a good 6-7 months now. There is also a guy in Dearborn that owns a C8 that I’ve been passing for the last 2-3 months. The C8s are certainly still interesting, but are quickly becoming a boring sight as time goes on, just like every other model.

When it comes to domestics and some other car companies that have U.S. headquarters in the area, I guess you could say I’m spoiled. I remember seeing the new European ranger (RHD) testing uncovered in my area like 12-13 years ago. I’ve also spotted Ford hq owned falcons (w/manufacturer plates) and other rarities that we don’t get here in the U.S.. 4 Ford GTs in a group, a year prior to going on sale, test driving in the middle of winter was certainly a sight to behold.

Cars like the Stinger, G70, and BMW Supra are still a sight to behold for people in my area.
Sounds like you are a little spoilt. First world problem.

Doubt it based on the ridiculous prices currently for the Camaro and the Silverado and the Dodge Ram. Silverado base model starts at $114,000, Camaro base model starts about $88,000, top spec ZL1 is over $150,000 and the Ram tops out about $105,000. Absolute bloody joke and nothing short of price gouging
Yes but these cars need converting to RHD. I was thinking future models of the Challenger may be factory RHD. Therefore hopefully cheaper.

You can buy the car here in the states and I’ll keep it at my house for a small fee and driving privileges!
No deal but thanks for the offer.

Agree, I doubt I would get bored seeing a Corvette on the road and they sound sooo good.
Isn't it funny to think that 90 plus years ago people gawked at seeing the first Motor car on the road, maybe a " T Ford " and now supercars can be viewed as boring o_O

This Conversion issue makes importation a complex and expensive choice. No wonder relatives we know prefer to import a new Merc or BMW from England or Europe because they wouldn't have to worry about the conversion part.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...

The Ford GT is still breathtaking everytime I see one testing tbh. It might just be a personal opinion, but the C8 became very normal looking to me very quickly, as well as all of the previous models in the past 20 years.

I also live near Dearborn, which has the largest concentration of Muslims. Muslims love their Corvettes and and they are very common in the area. I’ve heard stories that back when the mid 80s firebirds came out, they were very popular in the Muslim community as well. Kind of an odd observance, but I can assure you it’s true. The Muslim-Corvette thing, has become a stereotype in the metro Detroit area.

Hummm, interesting, they must have plenty of $$$

Many of them are tax free for 7 years if they open a business and are a recent immigrant. They then switch ownership to extend the 7 years.

Yep and only very few places have the skills, tools and expertise to do the job

Humm, my desire to ever own American Muscle has now gone down the gurgler, the closest I'll get is admiring them at car shows.
There's always the Mustang I suppose.

Don't despair Flame. There is a good chance future muscle cars will be coming to Australia and most probably RHD. And they won't all be as expensive as the Corvette.
