Good luck with it. Given how poor car sales are you should have a good chance to get some dollars off. I got discounts on tint and interior protection, plus the mats as I mentioned and squeezed an extra $500 out of them on my trade on a 15 year old commodore with over 270,000km on it. That was 2 years ago when they were selling heaps. At the moment you’d think they’d almost give them to you just to register a sale but you never know. Just stick to your guns and be prepared to walk if they won’t play ball. There’s always another dealership down the road.

Yeah I think I can sell it on Carsales for about 4k more than what I was offered as a trade in. I don’t think I’d go down any protection route

Talked to dealer today Andrew Simms Botany, same quote as you got. They're expecting their demo anytime now, apparently it's in NZ somewhere.

Delivery was supposed to be mid December but now they are saying 28/12-5/1. Will post pics when I eventually get it.

Organised a new MY21 Stinger as a fleet car through work - which I'll have full personal use of. Dealer says delivery won't be until Jan 12th 2021 at the earliest. (fingers crossed for earlier).

Of course, issue being, I only ever signed a MY20 contract (MY21 wasn’t even available in dealer when I ordered).

I basically got the current MY20 deal on a MY21.

Not sure it’s much help.

I’d check the build date on the car when it arrives because based on that contract they’re only obligated to give you a MY20 build. They’ll probably have them in stock still so be careful.

Thanks, I’ve got the car though and it’s the facelift.

If I rocked up to pick it up, and it wasn’t a 21, I would have walked away. Contract isn’t worth the paper it’s written on, wasn’t initialed etc.

Just got a call from my dealer. My CERAMIC GREY (hahaha) Stinger delivery is expected between late December to mid January. Depends on how bad the holidays messes with schedules.

Just had a call from the dealer, they have one now - it is getting groomed. Said hopefully be able to view it this Friday, with the PDF to see if NZ gets all the featured advised.

They called me earlier today, they have it, and is getting groomed, should be ready to view on Friday. Even the dealer is unsure of the specs so will be using the PDF as a guide to check if it has all the new gear...
