Yeah or Nay

So this post just got stupid today and, for a moment I felt like I was in high school again. I am still looking for constructive comments on this build. What do you like about it, what don't you like? If you could go to a dealership and buy a premade sport version of the Stinger, what would that look like? Would you like to have such a car available for purchase at your local dealership. I am not talking about selling a wrapped car, the wrap here would have to be real CF which isn't too expensive if made in China. More power, customized interior, what else would you want to see? What price range would work?

I have had three successful businesses in my life and this idea I have is just something I want to explore more. I had no intention of revealing my interests in such an endeavor but somehow it jumped out there today into the spotlight and, boy, did I get beat up on. But I am a big boy, I can take it! Definitely have a lot of passionate people here:p.

@JimB what do you think about the build quality of that ms front splitter? Was it the “premium” version? I like the little canard wing bc it’s smaler and more subtle. I’ve always been an Infiniti G guy, so reminds me of the splitter put on the Qs... debating on ordering them but for $400, I need to know if it’s tough enough to handle daily driving

Carbon fiber: I like better on dark colored cars or red... i like the interior cf but prefer the brushed aluminum

Wraps: I like them as a temporary thing to see if I like it, then I just have the parts painted

Vents: not a big fan of the side vents (black chrome) maybe you should look into a better looking vent...I would want a much more sleeker style vent

I think a true cf steering wheel would be interesting

I’m going to be ordering the eibach kit, so I’m w/ you on that

A true ecu tune would be awesome on this car

Wow, really dude? I wasn't saying to ask her for permission. I was saying ask her opinion, as her being your other half she might have something valuable to add. My wife has certainly cautioned me from making bad decisions a time or two. And I absolutely talk to her about car mods, financial decisions, haircuts, best ways to raise kids, what to eat for dinner, because I actually value her opinion.

But hey, also unlike me you have horrible taste and are ruining a beautiful car with cheap, tasteless, PebBoy's crap.

There's your feedback.
Try to keep civil guys, its getting outta hand.

Ok, this is for everyone.
This forum is designed for a civil discussion and opinion and some of you are now going beyond the rules. I suggest you look at JimB's reasons for the thread and stick to that. If he wants to sell lots of them so be it but dont start bagging it as its not on. JimB you have to be open minded if you asked for the feedback too, stirring the pot regardless of the comments is not a good idea.
I hope you all understand, besides you all would have read the changed conditions and rules of the forum that were put out today and that you all had to agree to.

Where did you go to get your windows tinted in vegas and how much? Did you wrap all the accents yourself? I would love to get mine all black like yours.

Honest opinion on the bulid:

I really like the Idea to make it look more sporty  and I like the carbon on the outside.
I do like the bodykit as well, especially the front lip.

Additions:
Maybe you can extend the gloss black on the Roof, like some members did.
Maybe rebadge the car with the Korean spec badges (E-badge + Stinger in the rear)
And what I would love to see lowering springs on a car like this :D

Things I would Change: the carbon wrap on the centerconsole - I really don't like it, because you can still see the original silver :notworthy:. Maybe do only the Frame around the aircon Buttons.
Also I'm not a fan of the scorpion on the bumper :notworthy:
And I haven't found a Spoiler that I really like (personal Preference)... but I would love to see an other Picture from the rear "Spoiler area". I'm interrested how you extended the wrap over the Spoiler to the side. Maybe that does the trick :)

Looking Forward to see your interior mods :)

My input - I think everything looks good except for the Scorpion - and if there's going to be an "R" on the vehicle - match it up with the GT logo and combine it somehow. The "R" as it is looks too common on Hondas.

Otherwise, please try to be nice to one another and respect each other's opinions and ideas...

The car looks great with the tasteful and subtle mods that were made. As others have said, the scorpion and "R" don't have the OEM "quality" look or placement associated with them that the other parts do. The other parts look integrated and as part of a whole, while the scorpion and "R" look like afterthoughts hastily placed on the car. Further suggestions might also include different wheels (much lighter) and other mods dealing specifically with reducing the weight of the car. For me, the "R" designation (Type R/R-spec) is significant and should warrant some overall performance increase over the base car rather than just being an appearance package.

I am not a fan of extra emblems, like the R or the scorpion here. Problem is Stinger Haus tried this and has failed. And honestly, I like their look a lot better.

How hard was it to wrap your parts? I love carbon fiber but they are expensive. If wrapping isn't that hard or expensive, i will try and customize my interior also. Plus wraps protect the paint so thats also a plus. Your car is nice. Good job on your work so far. I would like to see someone wrap the whole care matte black and then have the carbon fiber trim on the outside. That would grab my attention for sure.

What happened to more pics?

How did you take off the pieces on either side of the wing? I'm scared I'm missing a screw or something and breaking it.

I have been out of town I'll get the more pics of this weekend I'm taking a nap right now because I'm going up to Las Vegas Motor Speedway tonight and see what this thing does to the quarter mile

Nice. Have fun. Be safe.

I like stock. I'm also extremely conservative. The comments about placement of the "R", and ditching the scorpion, were, imho, very apropos. A lot would have to go into an "R" to make it a genuine racing version; especially since KIA said this car was never intended for the track.

(edit to add: I might have missed it if someone mentioned this already: but wouldn't turning a brand new Stinger into an "R" - with horsepower upgrades, etc. - invalidate the KIA warranty?)

I posted this in another area. Might be a nice touch for your build.
