My biggest Stinger Problem!

Minor beefs, to say the least. I think Kia was just being "politically correct", insisting that the preferred "normal" driving style should be fuel efficient. So default is always toward fuel economy.
If that was the case wouldn't it go to Eco on start.

The case has already been explained. To argue or question is fine, but the answer isn't going to change.

You obviously need everything you can get. Good luck.

It's more than that - in order for the fuel economy figures used as the official ratings for the car (so it fits into Kia's CAFE regulation compliance, etc), the settings used for it have to be the default - the same is true for the idle stop/go setting (which is why it always turns itself back on).

If, based on a factory setup, you could have the defaults set elsewhere, then the car would have its fuel efficiency rating based on the least fuel-efficient combination of settings.

They're playing the game to the letter of the law - getting as close to breaking the rules as possible without actually doing so. There's nothing wrong with that - Dieselgate was *way* more serious, that was intentional, calculated outright cheating at the expense of the health of the general population.

As long as turning the the drive mode knob and pushing the ISG button on every drive doesn't "wear it out," I can live with having to do this. If the knob does break, I'm not going to be very pleased being stuck in normal mode, or even worse, ISG on...

Well, I've realized I'm going to need rear tires every 6 months Lol! New ones coming today; going to try to get a video of me doing some drifting and donuts before I replace them:D

And the forward crash avoidance system has almost killed me a couple of times I absolutely hate that feature!

In front, I still had c. 5mm tread - in the center. The outside edges were "somewhat" less: the left tire outside edge was shot (I do the "skid pad" thing, i.e. cloverleaf onramp, somewhat to excess, it turns out).

I see everyone taking about the ride quality, I had no issues with it till maybe a month back. At around 1 yr old I started to feel like I can feel every pebble on a road. My only mods are intake and secondary cat delete.

Also the shroud under the car appears to be messed up on the passenger side, didn’t notice till it rained like crazy and I could hear it hitting. Getting that looked at Saturday morning after I get off work.

I didn't feel much inclination to mention since I had no evidence to prove or disprove, but when I bought my car brand new, I felt that there was very little to no difference between comfort and sport suspension, but now a year later, I swear I can actually feel a difference between the two modes, almost like sport mode became more firm. I'm not aware of any reflashes that happened during me dealer visits either. Maybe it's not just you?

*Edit - You might also be experiencing harsher ride as the tread wears down on the tires? Just a thought.

Tires still look good but I suppose they aren’t new anymore so it’s possible. I’m getting some more comfortable all seasons here soon anyway, it doesn’t snow a lot in Texas but it does freeze a decent amount.
