Lets start a new threat with the BIGGEST persibal "problem" with our stinger.. I'll start..

I have a really big "trouble" to engange D(rive) on my stinger.. If i go to D with the button down and let the whole selector go.. it instantly goes to N(eutral) Sometimes i can pull and release 2,3,4,5 times before it acknowlegdes the D setting (awd automatix 3.3L TT)

Paint issues, doors make noise when going over bumps, car has mind of it’s own when you get on it .. sometimes it feels quick and other times feels like a dog.

The exhaust has no pops and bangs, that is all.

My only problem is that at speeds under 30 mph it sounds like a horse drawn carriage hobbling down a cobblestone road.

Other than that allswell.

.. sometimes it feels quick and other times feels like a dog.

This has been true of every high performance I've owned for the past decade (probably longer).

Temp, humidity, barometric pressure, fuel octane, torque management ... sometimes the computer say YES! ... sometimes it says NO!

I've noticed a rattle in the hatch sometimes when going over bumps.

Also it seems to draw the ire of rednecks in pickup trucks for reasons I've yet to grasp. I can't go a week without brodozer driver tailgating me or acting like they're going to ram me or jumping in front of me and immediately trying to brake check me. It's easy to assume it's just Florida Man being Florida Man but I haven't noticed any truck aggro until I got this car.

Other than that, no problems.

Driving at highway speeds, I feel like I am going c. 20 MPH slower than what the speedo shows. I know this can be a problem but it hasn't bitten me yet.

I was just telling the boss as we went to the market that I wish I could hear the gawking conversations or the lone driver's thoughts!

Since my two problems I’ve had so far are taken care of with aftermarket parts I think I’ll say, I wish it came with a manual transmission

Only problem I’ve had so far is keeping myself from blowing tons of money on it. Ceramic coat, tints, wheels, lowering springs, sway bars, exhaust, intakes, JB4, the list goes on and on and every time I come here I find a new possibility.

Paint, sunroof creak, and B-pillar creak. The last two were "fixed" last time I took it in for an oil change by lubricating the seals. Other than that.....keeping my speed in check

Today for the first time, my TPMS stopped sending information to the LCD screen. The "Drive to Show" screen stayed on. Annoying. We'll see if sitting overnight resets it or not.

That happened to me once. It was fine the next time I drove the car

For fun, I like to see how fast I can go with LKA on before I feel like I'm going to crash and die.

My biggest issue with this car is the gross lack of body control afforded by the GT2 RWD shocks.
The ride is simply too floaty/bouncy front and rear. The amount of vertical body movement over pavement dips and irregularities is worse than what got Camry’s and Buick’s ridiculed for years (by the automotive press and enthusiasts in general).

In fact in today’s world, the Stinger is bouncier than both the Camry and Buick. You’d be hard pressed to find a current Buick or Toyota with as much float/bounce/porpoising as the Stinger has. This is really a let down, to what is otherwise a fantastic automobile.

I saw this reported in several of the car magazines reviews and long term tests.
Personally though, I don’t remove my hand from the shifter until it is in position.
I guide the Shifter from position to position and don’t let go of it until it is where I want it.

I think the joystick style electronic shifter encourages people to let it pop back on its own. I just hold on to it like a regular shifter whenever I move it.
