Has anyone considered running DRs yet? What tires are Tork using?

I've had him blocked for quite a while, just a lot of noise and trolling. But I was wondering what XOT1 said "wow' to.
There are a few running DRs, even one AWD. Tork really needs them and should be adding them soon. I cant imagine his stock tires have anything left. I think the top 2 RWDs on the 1/4 mile list are both running DRs.

I don't get spin unless its wet or below 25 degrees. Up until recently I had stock tires and just went bigger to 275s, 245s.
Well, the beastmode brake snip is nothing but spin but I stay away from that. Limp brake snip mode and LC don't spin.
My stock tires were also the 4s not the 4.

Yeah. Top two are. I need them my myself, especially if I want to continue to be competitive. I need to consider DRs and better fuel.
 
Good to see you haven't added any mods since your big DIY CAI break through last year and no tune of any kind. As always gracing the forums with your knowledge and expertise...
I agree with Xot1, Wow.

Turns out they don't have LC fully cracked. Full throttle at 2 mph would just go up in smoke on my car.

Im sorry and didn’t mean to call you out, but Torks constant attacks on competitors is so unprofessional he had to be confronted with a reality check, and appreciate you posting the information to confirm it.

Im happy to provide knowledge and disprove some of the nonsense spread on this forum. I do agree with xot1 too and that’s exactly what I thought when I saw torks post after reading yours below.

Obviously LC is figured out more than anyone else and he purposely tuned it to mildly spin at only 17psi. Of course you’d spin with your 20psi+ 1st gear launches but he will adjust accordingly when he releases his stage 2 tune.

Old news. Kagander can only open throttle full at 2 MPH which is fairly worthless for higher HP cars.
Also Tork now has full Damos for ECU and Trans as of this week.

Tork Stage 2 group buy filling fast. Lol.

Tork can't afford to buy their own DAMOS files without customers prepaying tunes? What sort of poverty shop are they running over there? lol

The motec gb is priced at $7500 AUD which comes to $5k usd right now with exchange, including 2 base tunes equivalent to his "stage 2" full bolt ons. Let alone the fact that it's a full real time motorsports ECU with unlimited potential that you could easily tune your self with a little research. You can also resell the m142 for 3-4 k any day of the week. This just makes tune motec seem like an even better deal, and that John still doesn't understand this market.

The current tune is very good, but it needs to be the most refined tune/tuning solution on the market. So, I have decided to by the full map index for an undisclosed price, to take the Stinger to the next Stage of tune development.

Yes, we have already figured out damn near every aspect of KIA Stinger tuning and ECU mapping, but... I am committed to run 10 seconds in the 1/4 mile on stock turbos! To do that, I need full ECU definition.

I could have easily released Stage 2 tuning for the same price, and pocketed the full amount that we have listed on the group buy, but... I decided to the the enthusiast in me make this decision first to bring you the best tuning possible.

This wasn't to fund the r&d, but to make sure buyers were committed to powertunes effort to bring this to market. The m142 unit alone is $3600. It includes two full calibrated tunes for stock car and full bolt ons (akin to tork 's stage 2). The r&d work that is being done by powertune Australia is for plug and play harness, initial characterization of all hardware systems, full can mapping, custom code for seamless integration and full power tuning. This is a shit load of work and far more complex than just tuning from known definitions. All that for $1400 over top of what the m142 unit costs which gives you a far superior product than what tork is offering with capabilities you cannot get with factory ECU. And at the end of the day you can resell the m142 to any one for 3k easy.

Tork charging $1700 for his "tune" is absurd compared to this. With an a2l and definitions, any half way competent tuner can spit out a tune in a day. Whatever you think about getting customers funding his business for unknown outcome, dollar for dollar the motec system is a better value.

Again no one wants you here John. No one is buying your tune. That's why you reach out to other tuners to try and get information from them in hope's to finally sell some, but it doesnt matter. You can sell the world and a dream on a platter an no will still buy it BECAUSE OF YOU. Not your product because of you.

You have been selling tunes for 2 years and NO ONE wants your shit but a few locals and less than a dozen others. Its embarrassing already tuck your tail and walk out the door. You wont be missed.

We have conversed with Powertune, and they have said you will get an "OEM" tune, and base tune. There are no staged tunes for full bolt on's.

A little ahead of the game stating what the Motec tune is capable of vs our tune, but we will see soon enough.

You say any half competent tuner can crank out a tune, and yet... Korean companys that have had the supposed damos for 3 years, cannot deliver a tune that is faster than our car... and I have done that without a DAMOS/A2L file?

I have already agreed that the Motec is a great option, but... you still have to get the car tuned. If I were a betting man, a lot of these self tuned Motec Stingers are going to end horribly bad for the customers. So, my recommendation would be, to find a shop that has a Stinger shop car. a Motec installed on said shop car and buy a tune from that guy. Reason being, he already suffered through the failures related to tuning the Motec.

An unknown outcome would mean we have no results, sadly... we have tons of results. Dyno, Dragy and actual track time. Then, should I mention the combined mileage from the dozens of tune customers we already have? The customers with 40,000 miles on their Tork Tune? Or how about the 800 + dyno pulls on my personal shop car, that also serves as my daily driver?

Bud, trying to cast a shadow of doubt on what we have accomplished with the Stinger so far and playing it off as "any competent tuner" and "unknown results"... bruh.

Seeing as I arranged this gb, I'm very well versed on what it is we're getting. Two calibrations are included, stock car and full bolt on. I talk to chea from powertune everyday, and good progress is being made. Bottom line. Setting up a plug and play system for a stand alone from scratch is far more complicated then editing known tables in win old and you know that. I'm hoping for the best for you but I think your pricing is way off for the product your offering. I do have to ask though... if you can get the definitions, how long before any once else can or they are posted on the tuner trade sites or networks? Everyone will have them soon enough, and then it's a race to the bottom for price.

I've "self tuned" several 700 whp cars so I'll be just fine. I just hope people funding your business efforts end up with something of more value than they can get for $700 anywhere in the next 6 months
