Drag/Acceleration Mods to improve ¼ mile times and unofficial track thread

I have a RWD and traction even at the drag strip is an issue with the stock tires and having mods. I just went to 18" wheels and will be using some 285 drag radials this coming spring. Unfortunately it's too cold here now for the drag strip so I'll have to wait until the spring to see how much the new wheels and tires work.

Here's a link to my setup
Aftermarket Wheels
how much did those 18's weight?

how much did those 18's weight?

Roughly 24 lbs for the 10" so the 8.5" is less but not exactly sure. I figured $171 a piece that's not too bad.

Requires adding an extra fuel wire to the JB4 harness and then there is a setting hidden under "6cyl timing" to trigger it.

WMI starting to show some promise. Temps in the mid 40s and car could have been lighter but hit a new stock turbo record valid 121.65 MPH trap and a just invalid 122.78.
Also hit a record trap in the 1/8th 96.25 MPH

terry i have been tearing through forums trying to locate the info myself and cant find it. is there a video or a set of instruction on where/how to install the spoofing wire? and for someone like myself who isn't super knowledgeable about electrical what gauge wire would be used and is there a specific type resistor you would recommend for making this wire? and as far as the values to enter under 6cyl timing is there any chart that explains what the iat is and what values need to be entered to get the spoof to add more boost?

Just buy the fuel wires again and just use the one with the resistor.

Send logs to terry so he can help guide you on how much to spoof.

if my iat is around 70 degrees what would be a good starting place for the value to enter in the 6cyl timing location?

Most people set 6cyl to 20-30 to raise IAT for more boost.

New 1/4 mile record from a big twin turbo out of korea. So close to 11.4x!

2.21 60 ft? 128 mph trap speed? Aren't guys with brake snips getting 1.8 60 ft? So this could get into the 10s with brake snip?
With big turbos comes big turbo lag. :)

@xot1 - do you know if Lee Taeho has brake snip? Doesn't look like it but hard to tell with big turbos.
He had -2500 to my -1500 DA for my 11.51, I will avenge!
Not to my knowledge, but I can ask him.
Edit: He doesn't use the brake snip.
