So in other words I should go back to stock plugs? What issues can a colder plug cause in my case? Is it just that they will go bad sooner and I need to keep an eye on them?
Since you have them in already, might as well try it out. But the issues you could have will be fouling of the plugs, due to getting loaded up with deposits that didn't burn off from having too low a tip temperature. If you drive aggressively during each of your trips, then it shouldn't be much of a problem.
I have seen folks putting in colder plugs to correct detonation issues, but the root cause was the engine just wanted a little less timing, and/or more fuel. And in our engines, we also have boost to contend with.
