When does Mishimoto expect to start testing working prototypes? When will we be made aware of the preliminary test results?

Hey Guys!

I know it's been a little quiet on our end lately, but we've still been plugging away on this project! We're looking to have our testable samples at the R&D facility in early December, so keep your eyes peeled for a big update around then!

Hey. It's early December, so........? ;)

Indeed it is, and as it turns out we just got the last box of all of our production sample pieces in last night! I PINKY PROMISE that I'll have a full write up on the components before the end of the month (aiming for before the holidays), but just to get your engines running, here's a few teasers for what's in store:

We're not wasting any time and we're getting this thing on the dyno as soon as possible, so plenty more to come soon!

Have you guys tested the fitment of the charge pipe with other than stock intake pipings?

also is the location of the MAP sensor port the same as stock? Many of us use the BMS PNP adapter for WMI injection and some charge pipes design make it hard to fit.(depending on the orientation of the port)

Great questions!

To start, we have not test this kit with an aftermarket intake as of yet, though that fitment is on our mind. I will be sure to let you guys know if/when there is a test fit with another intake in the future.

We did keep the MAP sensor on the cold-side pipe in just about the same location.

AND for an added bonus since we're on the topic of WMI, our cold-side pipe will have a bung for a meth injection port pre-installed for those already running a kit, or who are looking to get one ;)

Thanks for the answer!
I have the feeling that this will be a great product.

Does it have guide pins to ensure an equal distribution of the air flow inside the core?

Much appreciated!

Just to make sure that I answer you correctly, are you referring to internal diverters?

I am speaking about these

I will remove the pictures if needed.

Yup ok, we are on the same page then!

So we actually determined that our design doesn't need the internal air diverters thanks to general shape of the end tanks. Generally speaking, intercoolers that are taller, or have end tanks that use a sharper angle need internal divertors to direct the air to every bar of the core. With our end tank design (which I'll have some more visuals here for you guys soon) the long swooping shape does the job of properly channeling the air through the entire core.

Will you offer just the IC and not the merge? My GTS uses a composite merge pipe that I might be more inclined to stick with rather than moving to an aluminum one...

Why is that? Just weight savings?

Can we see a picture of it? First time I heard of such a thing.
