3.3TT Mishimoto's Stinger GT Intercooler Kit R&D Thread

I say it looks good.
Why didn't you use the stock piping for the turbo side?

I like what I see!

Looking good! If you scroll above where the talks about the piping, he mentioned implementing a bung for WMI. I assume you could use it for secondary fuel as well.

Hey Guys,

I know it's been a minute since we've had any updates, and we still have a few weeks before we have a testable sample in the shop here in DE...

If for some reason you need a customer car for testing, I live right over the border in PA....!

A lot of us are looking to implement the BMS CPI solution. Vote +1 for a bung option.

Have they launched their kit yet? I was just poking around for some more info on that just to see where the injector is installed

The simple answer is to improve flow over the stock system. The junction section on the hot-side is going to be one of the biggest restrictions when it comes to flow, and just forward thinking for tunes and the inevitable big turbo kits, they're going to require some more breathing room.

Looks good. Looking forward to flow data.

Thanks guys! We're looking forward to to getting our kit in here to start the testing!

I'll definitely keep that in mind! We actually bought a vehicle for the development on this platform, but just in case, we'll be in touch!

This includes a whole new merge? Oh boy, this is going to be expensive...

@Mishimoto any idea as to how this will be sold? i.e. all together or options to purchase individual parts...

Nice!
How much bigger is your piping vs stock?

Thanks!

We do plan on pricing this competitively in the market, plus we'll also be offering a discounted presale AND have financing options available

The plan is to offer is as a full kit only. We're redesigning the inlet/outlet for better flow so the stock piping won't exactly line up with our intercooler

Nice!

We're planning on a 2.8" piping diameter throughout the system. We'll have all the specific measurements and a close look at the the components once we have the production samples here in Delaware

So the smallest diameter throughout the system after the y-pipe is 2.8?

Intercooler inlet/outlet is 2.8 as well?

just curious, why 2.8? i usually see 0.25” increments, like 2.75 then 3 etc.

also whats the oem diameter for comparison sakes?

Great questions! To start, uhh my bad, they're 3", and for comparison the stock piping is 2.25"

And yup, we're keeping everything consistent throughout the piping, so 3" from the junction to inlet, and outlet to throttle body

Financing option for an intercooler haha, how expensive is this thing?
