Mbrp Pro+Ark Secondary/Midpippe drone fix exp.

I’ve had Mbrp on by itself for about a week now and am pretty happy, still have my ark down pipes and resonators. Really does feel like “I have 20 and don’t want to hit” situation. I would love a bit more sound as it is (slightly more volume and more snarl) but wanted to try downpipes first in a bit and go from there. Will let you know

I will add that I had the Mbrp by itself without tips on and with the tips made a huge improvement on the sound being carried out of the cabin, much like what a lot of people have reported on here.

yeah, another thing u can do is layer sound deadening material in the trunk. but this is abit of work. Without catless downpipe, u dont really need resonator.

They get a little louder after a month as well. Mine are a nice level of sound but also the rest of my exhaust is stock.

2022 GT2, just added Ark Downpipes and MBRP Pro exhaust, Drone is horrible. Adding the resonators next week, should fix it. MBRP should have built the resonators into the exhaust, i cannot see anyone wanting to run this car with this type of drone.

The combo is trash. I wish I would’ve done a bit more research on the both together. I added some magnaflow resonators and it sounds nice now.

I did the research, everyone said do not worry. The combo does give it a big kick, my car is really really fast, destroyed a new m3 today.

Did you tips on it. Tips gets 85-95% of the drone out.

I have Jun BL downpipes with MBRP pro exhaust with tips for over 2 years now. Combo sounds exotic with no drone issues. I started out with MBRP for the first year and then added the downpipes a year later

The only tips that I know of for 2022 are being developed now by MBRP. Hopefully we will see them in the coming months.

You need both Tips and Resonators.
Make sure tips are well installed and if possible, weld them on.
MBRP inlet diameter is 2.5 inch, use 2.25 inch or 2 inch inlet/outlet dia. resonators to gain slight back pressure. resonator case length 11-12 inch should be good enough and case dia. about 3.5 inch.

I find it gives the best sound but Ur preference may be different.

Inlet: 63mm (connect to MBRP)
Outlet: 105mm x 130mm (Stinger 2022+)

Ya, and I am running big intercooler, ark catless downpipe and MBRP, so it makes it allot worse.

does anyone have a video of drone and the sound? My resonators will be here Wed and installed, but I think there is more of an issue. My sound is almost like a bad rattle then drone. Just watched the MBRP buy me video, ROFL they say no drone, really? My car sounds like an out of control weed trimmer, it is HORRIBLE. Could the system be broken out of the box? There is no way anyone would drive a car sounding like this. I am going to take a video tomorrow and post it here.
