Ok, i have done about 500km on it now, and it definitely is noticeable now. Sounds great. Sadly, its a bit too loud on startup for my wife..but will see what i can do. The car is in the garage, and bedroom is over top :-( bad design. At start its louder now, but quiets down after about 20 seconds.

Do you just have MBRP itself? I installed MBRP, Ark DPs and tips 2 days ago. The startup on it is super loud in parking garage and goes down considerably after it warms up a bit.

this is my first car and also first time I’ve installed an exhaust.

So I got my MBRP SS, Ark DPs and exhaust tips installed on NYE. I’ve driven it about 300kms so far and here are my initial impressions...

• True cold starts are INSANELY loud. It quiets down considerably once the car warms up a bit and idles under 1000rpms.
• Warm starts are actually only loud during initial revving of the car when it turn on, but slightly louder than how stock would sound.
• When idling normally, it sounds like stock exhaust as if the seats and cargo cover are off.
• Not really any drone on the highway unless you are going over about ~115km/h and have to put in a bit of throttle to go uphill.
• When accelerating, there is a rasp in the ~1800 - 2300 RPM range, but smooths out after that.
• Exhaust burbles like crazy on deceleration, especially if you tap the throttle a lightly a few times during it
• The exhaust is ALOT louder with the windows down than it is up.
• Performance wise, I haven’t really felt much since I haven’t really floored it in the car yet.

This is the first time I’ve ever installed an exhaust on my car and I love it. Makes the car feel like a whole new car! The only downside so far for me is the rasp it has around 1800-2300rpm when accelerating, but other than that it’s great!

Ps. Better pictures and exhaust clip to come in the future. :)

Just the MBRP, stock tips. My garage is heated, but only to just above freezing. Summer starts might quiet down a bit quicker then.

Instead of rasping being heard, I hear both turbos spinning instead of my mufflers. Have you noticed any loss in low rpm power then before you put exhaust on? Feel like my stinger had a 'sensitive throttle response jerk' from before muffler install and after install it doesn't give that feeling off anymore

After half month I got my Ak tip done. Would say tips make huge different! No more drone. Before tips it not bad at all but still noticable @ 1K5-2K1 but nothing now! But also the Volume is reduced by 20% I would say(for cabin; outside is same I guess?)
Now consider ARK midpipe. Have any one who have their MBRP first then go ARK?
for me it is acceptable if adding a ARK DP result same level with MBRP+OEM tips(Or 10% more,Max.)(I know cold start, but no, just dailly city driving/or cruiser)
And very thanks to @Gtecko! Really helped!

This is what I got, 63mmX105 plus shippings total is C$ 174.71. This is cheapest I can find. Another one is cheaper but with wrong size(I beleive is just wrong writing, but didnot want to take risk). BTW they are same saler just different store.
And just FYI, you can order AK/Remus wolf head/BMW-M or no-mark version on this. Just leave a message sellers.I ordered no-mark version.

You just have ARK MP? Now I have MBRP only I am not sure will tips help you out with ARK issue, but 100% worth to try base on my exp.

Thanks for the info! Yes running my ngm delta mufflers with ARK DP. Not sure how I would go about heat wrapping my muffler tips and stock tips. So this new tip option may be my better bet.

I am getting frustrated with that AliExpress site. Keeps not liking my cards (tried 2) and am getting:We couldn't process this payment for security reasons. Error code: CSC_7200026
Grr.

Worked ok for you guys? Or did you use PayPal?

Here are the tips I used on my MBRP upon recommendation from another user: 4"x3.15" Oval Out 2.5" Inlet Exhaust Tip Stainless Steel Rolled Outlet Slant Cut | eBay. They fit great and only needed installed with some cheap exhaust clamps from Amazon or an auto parts store.

They look almost stock:
Those look like they are resonated in the pictures. It doesn't mention it in the description in the link. Also they say weld on, not clamp on. Did clamps still work?
