Mando SDC EDS10

Plus 1 for the ATQ subframe collars. Can't explain the difference but it's better.

I did those plus sway bars ( stock links ) and ECS10 and the car feels great and turns better.

Haven't gone as far as chassis braces yet...

What does your app say here, while you are connected the Mando ECS10?
I know it says “connecting”, but the Home Screen shows connected.

Module status
In your image is ON. This is the Mando ECS10 enabled...

If you switch it off, it will be disabled.

Yes... And with this setting as shown in your screenshot, the drive mode dial will control the suspension (and other things).

When the Mando ECS10 is set to "Module status on" - the drive mode dial will only control the other things, and the suspension will be handled by the ECS10.

It's pretty awesome.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
Exactly what I hoped.

I’ll test it out tomorrow.

Thanks!

I just drove through Cali highway 1, and if you don't know what that is it's a pretty crazy road that zig zags along the Cali ocean coast. Some few inches of curb is all that separates you from the ocean hundreds of feet below. Flying along in the dark, man the car felt really good. Car in comfort mode, Mando in sport. Sway bars in comfort setting. I don't think I can ever go back to stock, the car just felt so balanced and planted. The turn in was very good and almost zero body roll in the corners. I could come out of a corner and hit the next corner without even touching the brake and the car would not upset it's balance like it did when stock. Taking 15 mph turns at double the recommend speed without a hitch.

I just install my Mando unit last weekend and I'm trying to figure if I have the this thing powered in correctly. I posi-tapped into the same power that my radar detector is on so it is sharing that power source and is grounded so it should power on when I start the the accessory power up on the car. (to which it does). I have noticed connectivity issues with it where it is not connecting to the unit via blutooth. I have also seen another time that I had the power to the car on (not started and there was no power to the unit but my radar is on.) I un-plugged the power to the Mando unit and plugged in back in and the red light starts flashing and it connects and turns on.

I'm trying to isolate the problem of the power and the connectivity issues I am having. I have also seen where it is asking me to put back in the 4 digit code "0000" which I have already and changed the pass code once before to my own code to which I end up having to use the "0000" another time I was back in the car on another outing.

It is saving the custom setting that I put in on one the Custom Settings so I know it is holding power.

Is there something I am missing, App update?, I have android 11 phone.

What am I doing wrong here?

Possibly a misunderstanding.

when you say "it is saving the custom setting etc etc..". That is 100% the app on your phone and does not require a connection to the ECS10. You can make and save several custom suspension profiles while sitting on your couch or office chair. Those save ONLY to the app on your phone.

As for power. I struggled with many issues until I changed the power to a switched power that is basically on with IGN (not accessory).

When powering the ECS10 from accessory, it would work most times/sometimes

When powering the ECS10 from IGN, it works 100% all the time (for over a year now).

The interesting way I discvered this was, last winter - while powering the ECS10 from an accessory fuse (interior lamp), I was using an obvious custom suspension mode (obvious meaning way stiffer than sport), I ended up with Intermittent connectivity/application.

One day, started the car and drove to work.... My settings did not hold and I drove to work with stock suspension.

Went out for lunch that day - still stock suspension

For my drive home - I remote started my car - fully expecting stock suspension settings for the drive home - but to my surprise, it was plainly obvious that it was back to my custom firm settings (very firm).

I clued in that when remote starting my car, the accessory tap I was using turned on at the same time as the ignition.

So I switching the power for the ECS10 to a fuse that is only powered when the engine is on "see image". And it's been absolutely perfect ever since.

I probably have a picture. Lemme search

** Edit ** - added a picture of my current setup - working perfectly

The power for my dashcam turns the dashcam on as I approach the car. And off approximately when I arm the alarm/lock the doors.

The power for the "module" is only on when the ignition is on.

off when accessory/radio is on.

DJ. I appreciate the write up I'm going to move my power source over to the same one u are showing and see if this solves my issues

Did u tap into that connector or did u add it and attach it to your Mando ECS10 power wire then plugged it in?

I used a micro2 fuse tap - and the wire goes directly to the ECS10 power wire.

The ground wire is grounded to a nearby grounded screw - any good ground will work.

This is a Canadian link FYI

Ok I hooked it up like u had it posted. I'll let u know how it works.

Please do share the results.

I hope yours works like mine - flawless.
Seems to be working OK I only tried it twice so far. I did notice before it was asking me for the code 0000 to which originally I change then it revert back to 0000 again somehow this was before I switched the power source. I'll monitor the automatic login which is what I want when I go on the app.

QUESTION does it stay in the last suspension setting u leave it in even if you don't turn the app on or do have login in to the app for it to override the stock settings from our dial knob?

It keeps the last setting that you enabled from the app.

If you apply (custom 3 - for example). Custom 3 will be enabled for the current drive cycle, and all future drive cycles, until you either change it in the app, or disconnect the ECS10 physically.

To really test this, just make a - very firm custom profile that is unmistakable. Enable that custom mode and try a few drive cycles. It will remain on that custom mode until you change it.

The app being open or closed has no bearing on anything. The app only communicates with the ECS10 while you are enabling or disabling the unit. Even when you are (connected) via Bluetooth - there is no active data being transfered unless you are applying a setting or enabling/disabling the unit. So no, it doesn't matter if you close the app on the phone or not.

If you leave the app open on your phone, and power cycle the car - you will likely need to manually reconnect (I believe the "auto connect" only works once per app session).

Lastly - when the ECS10 is enabled, the mode select dial does nothing at all for the suspension - it will only change the other aspects of the drive modes (steering, AWD, transmission etc)

Mine keeps the setting, meaning, if I set it to my track profile, it stays in track profile whether the app is running on my phone or not and even if my phone isn’t in the car. The drive mode knob doesn’t affect the suspension.

If I want the drive mode knob to control the suspension again, I need to connect the app to the Mando, go to settings, and turn “module status” off. Then the knob controls the suspension no matter what.

Much appreciated thanks for explaining this better. Do u or someone have any custom setting #s that have been worked out after all the years the Mando unit has been out for the Stinger? And sorry for the questions. Did anyone ever post the exact bench mark number of the "Comfort and Sport" Mando setting #'s VS Stock Comfort and Sport #'s??

Those numbers (bench mark) do not exist as they are so dynamic and variable.

Once you are done playing around with the "basic" settings... Delve into the advanced settings where you can then specify the exact suspension behavior at different speed clip levels. The advanced mode offers a great deal of control, letting you greatly change the behaviour based on speed

I do not track my car - so the ECS10 is more of a cool toy for me. I change the settings based on my mood, or who is on the car with me.

That is good to know. (I don't track it either) Those speed settings could come in handy as I live in California I can be cruising slow speeds in traffic on comfort to quickly accelerating to fast speeds. I will have to dive into more
and test it out
