Lozic ECU + TCU + AWD Tune

I’m running 93 octane at the moment. Can you tell me what 9 degrees of timing means?
Your ignition timing through cylinder 1-6 you have to choose ign 1-6 on the jb4 to see them! Do you have access to e85?

What spark plugs are you using right now? HKS M45IL is a must for tuned cars. If you are using proper plugs then there must be something off for the tune to have this much pull. You should expect not more than 6 timing pull.

I have now enabled them in the jb4, and I do not have access to e85 at the moment. I’m in New Jersey if anyone knows where.

The spark plugs I’m using right now are the Denso 5346 IKH24 1 steps. They’re gapped to I believe .022

Not sure your question was ever answered. IGN2-6 on the JB4 log shows degrees of timing pull. When timing is pulled the engine is trying to protect itself, normally this is done due to detection of knock. A correction up to 3 in IGN 2-6 is considered normal. Anything past that is starting to push the limits of safety. When you start getting to 8 or 9 degrees of pull it is nearing the total range of safety and the engine may not be able to save itself

Thank you for explaining it clearly. So I’m trying to read the csv myself and it looks like the timing only goes up to 9 when I’m really pushing it right? The mph is also like 10 mph behind for some reason I’m not sure if that’s normal but I just messaged Lozic for a retune.

Sorry if I missed it, which ecu bar are you?

Is there a store anywhere you know of that isn’t out of stock for spark plugs
On your profile, settings and edit signature.

For timing pulls, try switching to hks. If still an issue, drop down a bar to 1.4 with a revision tune

In general... HKS and gapped to 0,02" is often needed. With 1,5 bar some times cylinder pressure can be higher than the high fuel pressure and will then light out spark. It will push back ignition also.
ECU need to have a scaled HPFP Map that reach beyond stock. Otherwise Fuel pressure will be the same as lower boost as the map will go in the roof.
So ignition and good fuel is very important as is the high fuel pressure. I know that Lap3 ECU is scaled good as it go along with the higher boost and also that trims then stay in range.
It is so that our cars is often faster at under 1,5 bar of boost so dont just go for the boost. Also backpressure at higher boost kills all upper rpm power.

So getting new HKS plugs, presumably already gapped hopefully, a retune on my Ecu, and higher end fuel should fix the ignition timing issue? Is my jb4 at all relavant to the issue, the safety features are off so just wondering if it’s at all related.

Sorry for the off topic.. in logs with WOT have any of you seen the HPFP above 11???

No, jb4 on map 0 is completely off and logging only. Not related.

The hks already come pregapped so no need to gap them.

No 10-11 is what you should see

HKS seems to be gapped to 0,6 mm (0,024"). I recomend 0,5 mm

Exactly.. I have never seen one higher than 10-11 on WOT. I just saw one that is 12-13. Even touched 14. What would this mean? This is. Lozic ECU log I was looking at.

Thank you. So if I’d like to I can disconnect everything but the obd connector right?
