Lozic ECU + TCU + AWD Tune

Correct. TCU is tuned- Just first couple of try’s. It looks like I’ll need to be firmer and a little faster with the throttle.
I have yet to launch my car with my lozic mods on winter tires lol Havent even given more than 40% of pedal yet. Just waiting till the weather warms up.

GennyGuy or someone that has been testing/building boost should help out.

Alright.. those of you with the Lozic TCU but without the ECU- What is the best way to build boost off the line? I was probably too scared to give it too much throttle. (Just slowly eased pedal to 2-2.3k pedal never above 40% travel) I was not able to build anymore than 1.8psi..I tried traction and stability control off and with it on and it didn’t seem to make a difference. With traction control on I was able to brake boost and floor it and it would hold at 2k rpm with 1-1.8psi.(also thought it would hold more similar to factory LC but 2k is lower) I didn’t dare try this with traction and stability off, I was scared it would spike. But easing into throttle yielded me no better results. I’m sure I just need to practice and be patient but assumed I would reach out anyway.

Side note- only drove it 5 miles and nothing but positive things to say during the drive. Well give more in depth review after my driving this week.
Did you choose torque limits off on your TCU order sheet? To do a torque limits off launch the car needs to be in sport mode with TC/SC off, all the same as the factory launch control. Next the accelator pedal (gas pedal) needs to be pressed past a certain threshold to activate a torque limits off launch (allows you to build boost). I'm not sure if its pressing the pedal down 50%, 60% or 70%. But once you pass this threshold "launch ready" will pop up on the MFD. When launch ready pops up you better be ready to let your other foot off of the brake because boost will build extremely fast and in cold weather you will spin all four wheels. After you let off the brake push the gas pedal the rest of the way to the floor. It takes some practice and I still haven't mastered it. This is my experience although I do have the ECU as well but that shouldn't make a difference when doing a torque limits off launch.

Thank you! Yes torque limits are off. You hit it right on. I was not passing the threshold. I was easing into the throttle too much and wasn’t going past 50%. I just tried it without actually launching and boost will build. The pedal just has to be down way more than I expected is all.

Good deal, enjoy your new TCU :-)

With your ECU Do you have boost ready function on or off? boost ready function ON
My ECU has the boost ready function ON. Which allows me to build boost anytime I want. That was the main reason I choose to have it on.

Have you tried launching (in non full sport mode- so stability on) Supposed to be a factory launch but with boost. So curious you experience with both?

I haven't but I'll try and report back. I always launch in sport mode with TC/SC off. But most of the time when I launch I let my foot off the brake before "launch ready" pops up in the MFD (meaning the torque limits are still on) then I mash the pedal. Doing it this way I can build 4-7 psi of boost (because I have the boost ready function ON) and get little to no wheel spin. I call it a soft launch.

Love it! From my research, supposedly if you leave stability on and do a launch it will hold at around 2.3k rpm and about 7psi even with the pedal all the way to the floor. So basically factory but 7psi. That seems perfect to me. Hopefully it works for you.

Yes this way would be more convenient then having to feather the gas pedal. I'll give it a try. I have a draggy so I can compare the times also

I don't recommend launching this way. I've done it a few times and the car is noticeably slower. I have my ECU tuned, but the car felt like it was closer to JB4 map 1 or 2 when launched that way. Car will be quick, so if you want to troll someone into thinking your car is slow, I guess it's not a bad option. The last time I did it was actually by accident and I thought I broke something . It was that much slower.

I keep trying to attach a video, but it's failing sorry.

For sure let us know! I’m buying ECU soon. So I’m very curious
Its personal preference really.

Thanks for the clarity! When doing it this way what do you think is causing it to feel that much slower? On paper it just seemed like a way to be more consistent with the launch.

So I tried launching in sport mode with only TC off and SC on. The RPM did hold at 2.3K RPM and I built approx 6psi of boost before I let off of the brake. The result was a 3.82 0-60mph and 7.67 1/8 mile. I would describe the launch as sluggish. Launching this way probably puts less strain on the drivetrain but will not produce the fastest times. You can see from the graph that there is no initial burst of acceleration. Instead it's gradual. It appears that 60ft is also going to suffer when launching this way. My guess is the torque limits is holding the car back when launching this way.

Appreciate the detail! Thanks for that. So basically a slower safer way to launch- but still on boost for better than factory etc. This thread an community is fantastic. Appreciate you all helping a newer stinger owners curiosity. I’ll practice the torque off launch and see what I can do. I’m sure with practice I can be more consistent. End of March I’ll be ordering the ECU as well.

Short answer is that acceleration is being restricted. That's going to result in slower times and less smiles.
